Great varied menu with local produce( source of most food on menu listed at back of menu). Prices were comparative to other restaurants but the food was of a higher standard. Mains from about $26 - $30. Fabulous decor in restaurant as one of the older buildings in Blenheim. Lovely new area of outside sheltered seating with lots of sofas... More

Family and friends enjoyed a fun meal here. The building is beautiful with large graceful columns. The menu was extensive, as was the wine list. We had lots of fun with the very helpful and humorous waiter Jetti who helped us with our choices. Overall an enjoyable night out and even got to chat with the chef Wayne who is... More

If you are looking for great service and fine dining, this is the spot! New Zealand restaurants don't have the best service (probably because tipping is not customary) but they had the best service imaginable! My husband and I shared the seafood platter for 2 and it was amazing and the quality met the value! This was such a nice... More

The hotel is an old trust building with some huge old steel doors. It has been beautifully refurbished with tastefully furnished and themed rooms. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great little place with good food. I had a perfectly done lamb shank and my wife had a blue cod dinner. Yummy sides and a very tasty bottle of 2013 Mysterious Diggings Pinot Noir from Terra Sancta. Very attentive and personable server from Jamaica. Highly recommended

The food was great but the Maitre D was rude and made us rush our food as he wanted to close the restaurant. Couldn't really understand a lot of what he was saying, as very poor English. Why employ foreign staff if they cannot understand basic English. Would go back but on his day off next time.

Food was delicious. Extensive menu and wine list. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food.

I was very disappointed by the whole experience of this restaurant. It was overpriced, the portions were very small indeed, there were very few vegetarian options and to cap it all, the service was less than I would expect for a so-called top restaurant. I would definitely not recommend it.

Please note this reviewer visited 10 months ago and has only just now joined Trip Advisor and filed only this review. This year there have been changes in ownership structure, management, chef and restaurant style. It is therefore not a fair assessment of the current seafood specialist restaurant.
