We had a fantastic tasting with a very knowledgeable lady who also is involved in the wine making and fermentation process. We learned a lot as well as trying the superb wines, notably the Pinot noir wines from various plots. No wonder they win so many accolades.

Wow! Giesen's have it right! A wonderful journey through the different wines Giesen's have made. Our host (? Hilliary) was so informative, friendly & made us feel so welcome. Such a beautiful setting - wish we could have stopped longer. Loved every minute & would recommend this Vineyard as one of the best x

Wow ... we had the Vintage Platter with the flight of wines accompanying. What an outstanding lunch - I wish we could go back again, but are only travelling through the area.

The service was outstanding and well and truly matched by the food. Their host concern went down to the detail of making sure that we were warm and comfortable. The presentation of the food, the restaurant and the staff were all excellent.

We had the Vintage Platter and also a bowl of mussels between two. Excellent food and the wine also. We each had a trio of wines for tastings which was $8 if I remember correctly. Ended up purchasing a nice Reisling to take home. Very nice setting.

We love Giesens wonderful platters, the service yesterday was incredible. They were busy but we were always attended to. The food came out fast and was amazing as always.

A great venue with great lunch menu and an excellent range of good quality wines. Recommend the cheese platter, but their pot pies and salads are of an equally high standard. Took my sister and husband their whist they were visiting and the asked to go back a second time.

We have eaten at Giesen's Cellar Door on numerous occasions and alway enjoy their platters, which have a wide variety of delicious food presented so nicely. Lovely environment and great wines.

We arrived at a bad time as the host was held captive by a wine wanker (you know the type). We didn't taste many as they were not to our taste (highly subjective so try them yourself). The restaurant looked very nice and there are lots of non-wine gifts to choose from.

Great venue, fantastic wines to sample and excellent cheese board to go with it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent value. One of the highlights of our trip. Would visit again.

Marlborough has a special place in the hearts of the Giesen brothers. To celebrate this, and the wines they create, in late 2011, 30 years after their arrival in New Zealand, they opened a Cellar Door in the heart of the region's wineries. Situated in the midst of vineyards on Marlborough's golden mile this characterful building captures the Giesen Brothers spirit of hospitality, giving visitors a place to experience a taste of Giesen, and learn about their winemaking. Also as a special treat, visitors can taste some back vintages or trial wines thanks to the Enomatic wine dispensing system. In addition Guests can kick back and relax with a glass of Giesens wine and a platter of regional treats in the charming courtyard.
