Party of six - all meals were excellent and all served close together - hate it when someone has to wait ages after everyone else to get their meal. Our meats were beautifully cooked. Waiter was really helpful and funny - service was great

I like this restaurant and their food, The menu doesn't look to have been changed, however it is still really lovely. The bread to start was nice, the mains were great, and the desert was simply amazing! The service was not on the level of fine dining, rather on the cafe level. The waitress didn't know the menu well, didn't... More

The food here was excellent and we tried all the courses - nothing disappointed. Our waiter didn't match the standards of the food and surroundings. Spilling water or wine on the table at almost every visit - not good. Definitely worth a visit if you like French cuisine.

We've been going to St Germain for about 7 years now. The food has remained excellent and the new premises in St Asaph Street are such an improvement. Went right through the menu and all our food and wine choices were outstanding. Nice to go into town after six years and have top quality french food.

The food was amazingly delicious and food portions were very generous. After entree and main there was absolutely no room for dessert. All the meals arrived cooked to perfection. Service was a little bit and miss. The young lady was great and attentive. Another server spilt the water every time he poured and didn't seem overly interested. Definitely worth a... More

My wife and I had dinner here for my 60th birthday. An up-market restaurant for adults, with a quiet and charming ambience/decor, and the staff speak both French and English. The restaurant was a little difficult to find, being located on an upper level at the rear of some retail businesses, however this was in fact a plus as it... More

One of Chch's best overall dining experiences. New restaurant is great and food & service continue to be first class. If you have not been go, and always leave room for dessert.

We visited this restaurant last Sunday evening, as a treat for my birthday. What an experience, from start to finish could not fault anything. The service, ambiance, food wine, were top notch, My husband who has visited many French restaurants around the world voted this in top five. We will return

My wife and I have always enjoyed the food and top service, this visit was no exception. We have eaten at the original cbd address then after the earthquake we followed to Papanui a slight larger premise and now to their very modern larger premise in St Asaph street the food and service has always been consistent. Excellent diverse french... More
