Great coffee and atmosphere. Really good coffee for two people from Melbourne who love good coffee. Ask Bruce at the Addington Store about the 'book end' and the Aussie who didn't know what it was.

Arriving in New Zealand tired and groggy after a night flight, I wandered into the Addington Coffee Co-op looking for something to pick me up and set me up for the day - I was not disappointed! I realised that this was no ordinary cafe when my porridge arrived. Carefully decorated with an array of flowers, mint, fruit and nuts... More

Great service, superb coffee, yummy food, lovely atmosphere. Staff are lovely. Neat little trade aid store in the corner. And a laundromat if you need to do any washing.

Oh dear! Last year when we visited it was wonderful- great food , ambience etc. But this time the berry pancakes were so heavy - stodgy & just about needed a chainsaw to cut through a gluten free slice ... Shame ! Still has the ambience, was assuming the Chef was having a bad day...

Went with my daughter while visiting Christchurch. Great buzz and feel with fair trade coffee and good service. Really enjoyed the food - fresh and appetising. You can buy coffee beans and they have a little store with fair trade products from overseas plus a small launderette. Nice outside area where you can have a table or sit on a... More

Stopped by for coffee and food. Learned about why the place came into being. A story of a hand up in revitalizing an area that serves locals and the global free and fair trade markets. You can eat, drink, do your laundry and buy items made by people throughout the world who want to be free.

Arrived at 7:30 when the doors opened and there was already a line of people. Breakfast was very good eggs and bacon. Coffee roasted on premise. Good vibe and decor. Highly recommend.

I agree with other reviewers that this is the best in Christchurch. Popular yet handles us quickly, huge and ample seating, cool decor, amazing meal options and pleasant staff with a distinctly Christian atmosphere. Parking all around in the morning and rear parking during busy street times. The new standard in town.
