Went here this week for morning coffee and breakfast based on a colleagues recommendation and glad we did. It's hipster cool with a nice fit out, great coffee and good food. Roasting in house with so many single origins to choose from pretty much has all tastes catered for. The food choices are plenty, abundant and delicious. So glad we... More

Tasteful interior - love the Oddfellows mural. Seating comfortable & nice sunny outdoor area. Food beautifully presented & very tasty. I loved the Red Salad- Beetroot, red cabbage, red onion. Great selection of food - counter & menu. Friendly attentive stuff & excellent Hummingbird coffee. A regular much loved lunch cafe.

As the home of Hummingbird coffee we had heard of it from friends but never visited. Found it on a wet Saturday humming. As expected the coffee was great as was the selection of food. Even though they had run out of foccasia bread for her BLAT my partner enjoyed the grain bread that was offered as a substitute and... More

A must visit loction for both coffee lovers and bakery addicts. The eyewatering mffins and scones melt in your mouth. One of the finest places to enjoy good company and a well deserved treat.

I had the scrambled eggs and instead got a lump of egg out of the microwave that was like a congealed omelette in texture. It is always disapointing when cafes can't do a standard like scrambled eggs well. When the waiter came over to ask me if I wanted to take the leftovers home with me as the majority was... More

This cafe looks quite industrial from the outside, but do not be put off by this. I urge you to visit Oddfellows and defy you not to fall in love with the haloumi open sandwich, fresh Hummingbird coffee (the cafe is adjacent to the Hummingbird Roastery where Fairtrade organic beans are roasted and shipped to cafés around the country!) and... I have eaten here & purchased my coffee often. Great food, great atmosphere. Fantastic coffee & food to match. The lemon curd muffins are to die for. Scones delish, black board menu varied & portion sizes filling! Great for all occasions, family, solo, business. Consistent great service & food.

I'm so used to having either a good coffee OR breakfast, but this unassuming little restaurant in light industrial Sydenham is a little gold-mine. It gets very busy, so book ahead. My omelette was perfectly cooked with a side of bread, and my friends Eggs Bene with Salmon looked amazing! I'll be back.
