My husband had steak with a starter of Seafood Chowder, he loved it. I had the starter of Seafood chowder loved that then had the Risotto, did not love that, quite gluey and far too much food with the entree portion of Chowder, found out later that I could have asked for a smaller portion. My mistake. Staff were very... More

Our group dined and had breakfast at Pattersons and found it to be adequate. The buffet diner was large in regard to choice and included a cavery. The meal was enjoyable and especially considerate as our arrival was quite delayed on initial indications, and for a buffet it can be a problem in keeping dishes hot. However, for those travellers... A very enjoyable meal for three people with different requirements. I had a very nice sweet and sour tofu dish while my colleagues enjoyed their fish and chips and their venison. Worth a second visit

Last minute decision to have tea seen as we stayed the night at the hotel....no problems to get a yable for 7 people. Beautiful pork belly & steaks. Generous servings. Kids menu offered a great selection. Family friendly

Our several meals at Patterson's Restaurant during a stay at the Commodore Hotel were all very good. Good fish, good lamb, good soup, and good breakfast. I recommend it for any meal.

Meals are massive but kind of stodgy and covered in cream sauce or melted cheese. There wasn't really anything I wanted on the dinner menu. The (3?) salad options didn't appeal & the only truly 'vegetable dish' was the boring looking "side" dish with steamed or boiled cauliflower /carrots etc. Clearly the chefs need to learn how to prepare vegetables... Fabulous breakfast spread to more than set us up for a day of site-seeing. The next day we had thought we might find somewhere in the city to eat, but no regrets in deciding to eat 'in' because the menu worked well for our group (1 child, 1 fussy but hungry teenager, one demi-veg and one other!).

The restaurant is a fairly typical hotel facility. The menu was reasonably interesting. The fish I ordered was overcooked and tough. Prices are expensive for the quality offered.

we were desperate for somewhere to eat on a busy Friday night, so were pleasantly surprised that we were welcome here, and that there was room for us. I reckon we got in just before the rush, as the empty tables soon filled. Food great, good wine, nice ambience and attentive but not intrusive staff. Would definitely go there again.

Went there as it is straight across from Airport Stableford B & B where we stayed 1 night between flying in and picking up our car next morning. Not cheap but a lovely meal and very good service.
