Lobster was not in season but the surf and turf was delicious. Atmosphere was a little upscale but still fun. Crème brulee was the perfect end to a great dinner.

this is the second time we have dined at the saucy chef the first time was average but we were in a bit of a rush so we thought we would try again and Im so glad we did!! our server was Toni(i think) and she really friendly and helpful. I had the southern fried chicken and it was delish!!... More

We were in Invercargill on a Saturday and luckily the Saucy Chef has brunch served until 4:00 pm. We sat in the dining room which was empty and enjoyed a quiet meal with outstanding service. My husband ordered the battered oysters, and the fish special and I had the warm chicken salad. Both were delicious. The restaurant is very stylish... More

Fantastic food and lovely service staff but...an exceptionally long wait for meals. Children's meal arrived at least 30 minutes before the rest. Unfortunately we probably won't return due to the incredibly long wait for all meals.

Great food and service. I had the pork loin for dinner and the ice cream trio for dessert. I highly recommend both 😀. Georgia and Dana we're welcoming and professional, both girls having excellent product knowledge. Well done guys!

This New Zealand restaurant was close to my hotel and the I site. I got a card from my hotel for a free glass of house wine or beer with my meal. Friendly staff, fantastic meals, fillet steak and chicken salad, followed by Eaton Mess. Would go back if we were staying longer.

Came here with a colleague for dinner. Recommend booking as it's a popular place (and rightly so). Had a drink to start in the bar followed by starters (sweet breads and bruschetta) and then mains (steak and vietnamese pork salad). This place is amazing, the food was perfect. My husband is very picky with his steak but he gave it 10 out of 10. The dessert I had ordered Eton mess but when he tried mine he had to have one of his own as I was not going to share.

We ate here on 14 February after our motel receptionist recommended it. We were so pleased she had. The food we ordered was superb - tasty and fresh. The decor is also interesting. If only we visited Invercargill more often - this restaurant would be our 'go to' place to eat.
