Came here with a large group of 7 hoping to re-live the glory days of Cobb&Co, the food was great (although oysters a little overpriced) but I felt like the staff really did not want to be there! They were taking main meal plates some unfinished from the table before everyone was done, and then they seriously messed up the... More

Just had a 'meal' at Cobb & Co Invercargill. The Vegetarian Burger boasted a vegetarian burger that would make your mouth water...the actual offering was quite the opposite. Pale pasty burger with token lettuce & tomato, smothered in aioli & mayonnaise with over endowed cheese which drowned the patty. Yellow, stale & uneatable fries accompanied the tragic burger. My daughter... More

A pleasant environment that serves honest Pub Food at a reasonable price. There is a fair, although somewhat limited, wine list by the glass. The staff are certainly very welcoming and professional in the way in which they go about their jobs. However there isn't a huge amount of love in the food preparation, and whilst it was OK, it... some years ago, our family often ate at this establishment and the food was reasonably priced and of a generally good standard. However, we stopped going there after several visits when we had terrible meals. Grey packet mashed potatoes, stringy badly cooked steak and and a seafood basket with food that was practically charred on the outside and almost frozen... More

The Avenal has 3 restaurants, pub, middle part and cobb n co Depending on what pricing you want to pay for the same meal depends what part you want to go to. The pub side does blue cod and chips for $18 which is a decent size and really fresh. The meals all come from the same kitchen and the... More

While at this restaurant that advertises itself as family friendly, we were horrified while we sat waiting for our dinner to hear a very loud shout from behind counter of expletives my children shouldn't have to hear. That coupled with the fact I'm pretty sure the staff couldn't have looked less interested in us if they tried, left us leaving... More

We had been travelling for nearly three weeks and I was desperate for a good steak. I chose the Cobb and Co as I have been to several and I am familiar with the menu. My steak didn't disappoint. It was perfectly cooked, the jacket potato delicious and the vegetable (with cheese sauce) were perfect. The service was great, the... More

A large group of eighteen enjoyed a birthday meal at Cobb and Co. We were a mixture of young children and adults and we were so well looked after, the food was plentiful and everyone went home very satisfied.
