Walked in around 4:30 for a beer and an early supper and watched the locals fill the bar. Staff was very friendly and meal prices were reasonable for this fashionable resort town. Huge portion of very meaty ribs, big fish&chips, and excellent beer. We missed...More

The place itself is pretty good, with live music everyday from 8pm I think. Food was only worth it because we got a deal from a local website, otherwise would be too expensive for what it is. I had a burguer which was good, my...More

Pog Mahone's was our first port of call after having unpacked our bags at our accommodation. A great place to have a pint or two and unwind. The special of the day (a burger, chips and a pint) was well received. The other items on...More

We had 6 nights in Queenstown and spent 2 of them here and would gladly go again. Get the Guinness pie!!! Great value especially as queenstown is quite expensive for dining out.

Really good Irish pub in a great location. Had the roast of the day (beef) which was very tasty and extremely good value. Fish and chips also excellent. Also, obviously, a great pint of Guinness!

Description
Pog Mahone's opened in its lakefront location in the heart of Queenstown in 1998 and quickly became a Queenstown icon. The Kiwi and Irish owners wanted to create an authentic Irish atmosphere and so designed and built the pub in Ireland itself then shipped it lock, stock and barrel to New Zealand. At Pogs you can enjoy a lively mix of modern and Celtic music (including regular trad sessions), friendly service and be warmed by open fires in both bars. On the inside it's guaranteed Irish but don't forget to try the sunny lakeside beer garden and balcony from which you can soak up some of New Zealand's most stunning alpine scenery! The menu offers authentic Irish cuisine complimented by contemporary NZ dishes and the world famous Stonegrill dining experience. We recommend you try our signature Beef & Guinness Pie or Irish Stew dishes.
