A very quaint little restaurant, overlooking a nice paddock and vineyard, with beautiful mountains in the background. The food was good, had a separate vegetarian menu with lots of options. We had the stuffed mushroom and haloumi stack for entree and both ordered the chickpea coconut curry for main. Could not fault the food except the entrees were a little... More

We had a very pleasant evening. One of the few BYO in the vineyards. Food was very good, different, and well presented. Service was impeccable. It did seem a bit pricey, considering we didn't purchase our wine... but then, most restaurants in the Hunter Valley Wine area seem pricey to me these days. I think I am behind the times.

We ate here last Saturday with friends as two of us were celebrating our birthdays. Before booking, I had looked closely on Trip Advisor, having been recommended some other highly rated, and highly priced, restaurants. One of the attractions for us is that we were staying at The Vintage, a 2 minute drive away. The menus in the restaurants in... More

My wife and I went for lunch on Sunday and had an awesome time. From the time we arrived until we left the service was casual and friendly, but still with the professionalism expected from such a fine dining restaurant. The setting is in the vines and we sat outside with a veiw overlooking the vines and the surrounding countryside.... More

Basic modern Australian food. Beautifully plated and good service. Like most restaurants in the Hunter They seem to stick to the basic four meats and a token vegetarian meal. We had a wide range of dishes between 4 of us and all were very well executed. I would love to see some more imaginative cooking but it was excellent food... More

We feel that perhaps our visit here is our own fault as we did ask our accommodation of a casual restaurant and didn't bother looking it up. The venue is odd- very much feels like you are sitting in someone's home dining room or lounge room, not a restaurant, no Real views to enjoy. Staff didn't seem too interested and... More

Food was very nice, however a bit overpriced as the restaurant wasn't immaculate nor was the level of service. Waitress was friendly and did everything right, but for the menu prices we expected a little more than what we got. Still a lovely night though.

Even though there are so many restaurants in the Hunter Valley, this is the one we go to again and again. The food is always good and the service is fantastic. It can get a bit noisy inside when all the tables are full so if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner, it may be better to sit... More

I really love this place. It's good, unpretentious food with fantastic house wine. The lamb is still the standout -- either the rack or the rump. And the desserts are well-balanced and really flavourful.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. Good flavours and combinations in both my meal and my wife's. Service was good and prompt but I thought a little expensive. The view over the vineyard is pretty average - there are far better views from other restaurants in the region.
