Fantastic food and drink but expect it to come with a big price tag! Well worth the price though if you can afford it!

I love my food and don't mind splurging every now and again on a great dinner out. This was exactly that...a splurge...but a great dinner! My partner and i wanted to go somewhere nice for a good steak and this was the obvious choice. From the moment we arrived the staff were lovely and accomodating, answering any questions and helping... More

Really enjoyed our meals. They have a kids menu and everything that was served, including desert was awesome. Took a pram (sleeping 4month) and wouldn't do it again. The space is tight and although it fit & he slept the entire time I felt the staff member really found it a challenge to have it there. Made me quite uncomfortable.

What an amazing dining experience we had at Black Cow, Launceston. The food was truly amazing and I'd have to say the best steaks we've ever had. Special locally sourced 40 day old dry aged beef - you can't go wrong! Dessert did not disappoint either and contributed to an all round fantastic experience. These guys really know their food... This place is not for the thrifty at about $50 a steak (and this is on the cheap end of the menu) you can easily spend quite a bit here. My partner and I shared the 450g porterhouse with the mushroom side and the carrots. This was enough food for us. While I can appreciate the steak, the honey roasted... More

There is no way I can fault the food and wine. It was truly excellent. However, in a first class restaurant, (charging liberally for everything) I expect better organisation/service. We arrived at 20.20 for a 20.30 booking and were thrown out to wait until 20.30. There are no seats on which to wait for ones table to clear. Is this... More

Never been disappointed! The service is on point which makes the price so worth it. Cocktails are genuine, full of flavour and well balanced. The steak is what they do and they do it very well. Just go here. Simple as that. Relax, sit back and enjoy.

Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Waiter full of info and really knew the rather pricey wines. Super fresh oysters and sashimi to start. Beef as you would expect was excellent . Be explicit exactly how you want it cooked A great night
