A perfect evening with friends from WA. Absolutely nothing to complain. Wonderful fresh oysters (very yummy), crispy porkbelly for entree and a steak that was cooked perfectly with that adorable, homemade Bearnaise sauce. Subtle service and good timing. I was in heaven. Thank you and we'll see you soon... Hopefully...

Was hoping for a trifecta on my third night in Launceston after heavenly Novaro's and Black Cow, but Brisbane Street Brisbane was not enjoyable. I was rushed through the first two courses, and the third would have been amazing but it was more onion than gnocchi and ragu. The lobster bisque was nice though, but a little hard to enjoy... More

Interesting food using fresh local ingredients. Great atmosphere. You can have a conversation without being overwhelmed by music or noise, or worried about nearby tables hearing what you say, BUT go here for the food. It is superb.

We stumbled across this restaurant in the Entertainment Book and thought to try it out and very glad we did. Beautiful building and decor; the staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was incredible! One the best meals I have every had. Based on my experience I highly recommend.

We were there on a recent Friday evening for our anniversary and it was packed. The service was superb, as always, and so was the food. Plus the wines are served at what we think of as a proper temperature - chilled for the sparkling, and not too cold for the reds. We were glad our favourite German lady looked... More

The whole experience was outstanding, food, atmosphere and service. Perhaps some low volume background music would further enhance the experience.

$150 (food only) Christmas Day lunch was expected to be a gastronomical delight. Unfortunately there were several courses not up to par. A large chunk of rissole would better have been left off the plate. Vegetables very ordinary (soft, perhaps reheated, roast potatoes). The signature tomato entree was delicious. Service was excellent, with attentive staff yet not intrusive. The room... More

A disappointing Christmas lunch. For $150 (food only) we expected excellence. Certainly some dishes such as the prawns, the tomato tart and the Christmas pudding were very good. But my fish was only this side of fresh and there were neither lobster, nor chestnut stuffing for the turkey as advertised when we booked online. And I certainly did not expect... More
