When you feel like seafood this is your destination. There is plenty to choose from, food is fresh and yummy. You can sit inside or in romantic courtyard. There are local musicians in the evenings for a bit of a relaxation over glass of wine

Fresh seafood, great quality, tasty recipes. Food was served fast (the restaurant was quite empty). Good service, very nice waitress. I heard they opened a new place on Fitzroy Street, i'll check it too.

I have been going to Claypots since it first opened in St. Kilda and have always loved it. After living out of AU for some time, I was excited to go back to Claypots for dinner. I was honestly shocked at how the place had deteriorated in every way. The decor and toilets were filthy, the fish was overcooked, and... More

Every time I visit Claypots I walk away felling like I have been somewhere exotic! Asia, the Mediterranean... I am not sure where but it is great! Be it a hot summer night in the courtyard with prawns and octopus legs or winter with a hearty claypot... yum!!!

We did not have a booking and had to wait about 20 minutes. It was well worth the wait. The vibe was great and the food was great and the service was excellent.

Claypots is an institution. The seafood is to die for and the interior is quirky to say the least. It has live music ( mainly jazz nightly and also boasts an outdoor dining area. The bar staff are fun and good mixologists.

I should have worn a big as I splashed the most beautiful garlic sauce down my blouse and I didn't care cause they were beautiful. Yes you have to peel them yourself, but that's the fun in eating Prawns and their prawns were amazing.

Have been frequenting this place for several YEARS now. There is no better seafood restaurant in town! Everything is extremely fresh - menu changes with what's available. So exotics like razor-clams and Morton Bay bugs are seasonal ... Dishes and flavours do take on an Asian influence, but that's all for the better. Some whole fishes may be a tad... More

This was the best food we’ve had in Australia. It’s a quirky place, serving mainly seafood, with several rooms and a metal octopus clinging to the ceiling in one and a small inner courtyard garden surrounded by bougainvillea and hung with ships that twinkle with lights at night. It’s popular too and loud (not the place to go for a... More
