meet a friend for a drink and chat - order the special steak and chips meal $15. Hugh steak, well cooked and loads of chips - downside mushroom sauce only had 2 mushrooms in it.

Good selection of beers, the food was tasty and not badly priced. Portions not huge but was enough to satisfy you. Staff were chatty friendly.

We had a couple of drinks here from the extensive selection of draft beers and wine list. We also shared some oriental bites which were very tasty.

My partner and I try and go to brewers every Wednesday for the steak night. We both LOVE steak and have tried everywhere in Palmerston North but Brewer's are the only place that consistently get it perfect. The staff are always so pleasant and make it a pleasure to come. The woman who runs the Wednesday night shift (sorry I... More

Had lunch there on Saturday, we ordered the chicken quesadilla, sesame crusted squid and the fried chicken. Disappointed in all three, the quesadilla was supposed to have salsa - didn't have any, the squid was overcooked and the fried chicken wasn't fried chicken as most places do - it was bread crumbed and looked like it was flash fried in... Typical experience for after work Friday Night drinks and Food. Great outdoor gaden and the sun showed up. Food was good enough without being showy or flash. Tasty and flavoursome. Not fine dining but just the ticket after a long week working

Popped in for a visit a couple weeks back. Service was great. Atmosphere nice. Toilets were dire though. Not clean. No toilet paper. Sticky floors. Really let the side down.

Two couples, two gluten free people, one celiac, and they couldn't get it right! Refused to swap out onion rings on the steak for a small pile of salad greens, so we asked them to not have onion rings. So who do they do? Yep, they brought out bread crumbed onion rings on the celiacs' steak. When they were asked... More

This pub is best described as busy- or at least it was on the evening that we went. We had two panacottas, which were delicious and some beers and soft drinks. The soft drinks were generous in size and the beers, mainly a selection of Monteiths were great. There was music in the background and a pleasant hubbub of talk... More

We have always enjoyed our meals at Brewers. This time we both had steaks and they were cooked to our liking and delicious. I ordered a side of salad which I was disappointed in – just lettuce leaves, tomato and grated carrot for $6. We both chose the Whitakers 72% chocolate pudding with espresso caramel and cinnamon crème fraiche. We... More
