Only Tuesday night, so probably their slowest night of the week but still took 40 minutes to receive our meal. Numbers didn,t come out in order. Not talking about phone orders either. Must say though that the staff were more than pleasent.

The snapper was fresh and tender, the coleslaw crisp and delicious. Formica tables and Crown Lynn crockery - love it. We also appreciated the helpful wait staff. It's a fish and chip restaurant that sticks to its knitting and does it well.

If you fancy fish and chips GeorgES is a great place to go. I have not stopped in the small restaurant but the take away service is excellent. Best place to buy fresh fish also. Lots of choices

I love coming here for fish and chips. It is very busy, so be warned. The fish is sourced fresh each day and the selection is brilliant. These people make their own chips and boy are they good! The little restaurant may be really retro...More

A good basic fish and chip shop. Various kinds of fish, and other choices. TThe fish is fresh, and service is friendly. We usually stop there on the way home (Wellington) from skiing at Whakapapa or Turoa - we ring 10 minutes ahead (06 345...More

What more can one say than you get a plate of bread (just like holidays when I was young). Food delicious. Service 10/10.
