Worst blue cod we have ever had! Oysters were supposed to be Bluff at$2.60 each but were tasteless and tiny- either Pacific or Asian!!!!

We got a takeaway from here and had a $60 deal which was 2 blue cod, some mussels/prawns/scallops, Paua patty, chips and a small pot of coleslaw. The service was quick and the cod was nice but seafood was nothing amazing we would go back...for. I also agree with other comments that it seems a bit off to expect people to pay for cutlery and basic sauces like ketchup when they are spending so much on their meal. Not a bad experience per se, but not one I’d necessarily recommend.More

Don’t bother tasteless fish and revolting chips cooked in horrid oil we heard Kaikoura was famous for fresh fish and chips wrong, we should have been warned off from the smell and look of the place and then was about to order scallops and glad...I checked if they were local as they admitted frozen from China. Don’t do it.More

Excellent service and excellent food. I got the seafood basket and it had a great range of food cooked wonderfully. The chips were so crunchy! Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had to be honest. Better range and price than others in...Kaikoura too.More

The food was very yummy but on the expensive side… The guy serving us was quite blunt but not a biggy. We sat in the outside area and ate in the sun which was nice. Found it ridiculous how you had to pay for a...wooden fork… But the food was good and that’s the main thing.More
