We are long time local fans of Linda’s. Despite changes in ownership, a couple of times, Linda’s has always maintained excellent food and service. The mornings can be extremely busy here and staff are often runoff their feet, but service is always super friendly and...food is always served with a smile. I’m a big fan of their eggs Benedict and be sure you ask for onions on your home fries!More

Linda's Eating Place was excellent. We went for breakfast between soccer games June 3rd and had an amazing breakfast, the home fries were delicious. Our meals were so great we came back the next day for breakfast again and it was just as amazing. This...little restaurant and their staff are amazing and if we are ever in that neck of the woods again we will definitely make another stop inside for breakfast. Delicious food, friendly staff, an amazing experience.More

This place was garbage. We went as a group to go and eat a nice brunch. When we got there the server seemed kind and asked if we wanted to sit inside but we would have to be split apart, or if we wanted to...sit together as a group outside. We decided to go outside, this was one my worst ever decisions made. When we got outside we ordered our drinks. The tea was watery garbage, the coffee was cold and the chocolate milk tasted like dirt. Additionally the water cups were dirty and yellow and the water tasted like metal. On top of that some of our napkins were dirty. Plus the cutlery was indistinguishably disgusting. Then our food came, before we even could take a bite we could it was ice cold. While we were eating a bunch of wasp attacked us so we asked you inside the server said yes but never came back to take us inside which was a very big upset. Additionally the food didn't taste good it was bland and tasteless and the apple cinnamon tasted like watered down dog food. finally we came to the bill. The food was all super overpriced the chocolate milk costed $3 each which is insane because it definitely is just nesquik and two people's food added up to $60. And totally only ordered an omelet and two waffles and the chocolate milk. On top of that the server didn't know what she was doing and it took forever to for us to pay. Finish it off don't eat here it's surprised and the food isn't that good the only time I'd actually say go here is if you're gluten free but even then I might suggest you to reconsider. Good day and don't here.More

Had a great take out wing and rib dinner last night. Wings were nice and crisp, and the ribs were fall of the bone but not mushy! Everything was hot and the cole slaw and fries were great as well. Well done.

Good quality home-cooked food that is very reasonably priced! I had the 2 eggs, homefries and toast with a coffee and my daughter had the hungry man breakfast with a tea = $25 with tip. Very reasonably priced. We both left satisfied. The homefries were...seasoned with a different spice that made them not popular with us, but they had homemade jam which was very good. Our server was very friendly. Overall, it surprised us as being a very busy little destination with great food for being just a little diner off the side of road outside Barrie. Will definitely return again.More

My work colleagues and I visited Linda’s eating place in Barrie twice over the course of the past week. Linda’s is only open for breakfast and lunch and offer breakfast throughout their operating hours. Both meals were homemade and absolutely amazing. The staff at the...restaurant are wonderful and truly offer outstanding service. The owner works the kitchen and is very invested on providing excellent meals at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this eatery for a fantastic meal.More

I have been going here off and on for about 20 years. They recently renovated to make more room and with good reason as it is usually very busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The eggs, pancakes, bread, meat are all fantastic. Unfortunately, during these...busy times (9:00 am last Saturday) they only had 2 waitresses and one lady seating and running the cash. I’m not sure if someone called in sick, but they could use 2 more servers/section as 3 groups who were seated after us, were taken care of first. A minor detail to us who are there for the delicious food anyways. They had an advertisement for fish and chips, so we will be back to try that out.More

We visited Linda's Eating Place for the first time yesterday, for Mother's Day. When my brother in law booked reservations and I had a look at the Google Map, I have to admit that I was a little unsure about his choice. I had no...idea just how pleasantly surprised I was going to be! The place was packed. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL and the food was AMAZING! Our party of 11 arrived at 1pm and some ordered breakfast fare, while others ordered lunch meals. I heard an ongoing undertone of consensus that the food was fantastic and everyone was really enjoying their meal. I LOVED my fish and chips! Brick and mortar don't make the place, the people and good food do!! What a gem! :) Thanks girls, we will definitely be back!More
