Nice fish food, not to greasy with friendly staff. Should try their Ham burgars which are very tasty.

When you are a Kiwi, Fish n Chips are a regular thing. The place was busy which is always a good sign. We ordered battered scallops, fish, hotdogs, chicken tenders and at another time burgers and of course chips. No disappointments at all. Fish was fresh and melted in the mouth. Scallops were great and the batter used was tasty.

if you find yourself in Russell around a lunch time. Look up the Crusty Crab. We watch to see where the locals go for lunch. We saw so many stop in, order, pick up and walk away. So seeing there were several little tables with chairs outside, we decided to try it for lunch. Lucky us. It was delicious. We... More

Our cruise ship was docked in New Zealand's Bay of Islands and we had taken the ferry to Russell. It is one of the most tranquil places I have visited in my life. Nobody hurries and that includes the car drivers who have pedestrians ambling along in front of them. In due course we wanted lunch and we settled for... More

Terakihi was on special with chips $10 so got two for us. A micro pottle of vinegar and it was SMALL, 50c. Like most things in Russell you pay through the nose so $20 was about what you would expect for this over the top tourist town.

Came down for a feed around 4 pm. Which was a good time as there weren't many people there. I had the battered fresh fish and a small serve of chips. It was nice. Probably could have had a bit more salt on the chips but that's my preference. Yummy fresh food.

We enjoyed fish and chips on the picnic table overlooking the Bay in Russell, watching the sun go down. Fabulous views and gorgeous fish and chips!

You never know what to expect from a take-away but this one is exceptional. The food is all cooked whle you wait and is excellent. Get fish and chips and go sit on the water front for a relaxing evening.
