We went here to eat, and we bought some trinkets at the store, but did not stay to eat because it was too expensive

I would suggest that you get food here rather than at Jabiru - but check opening times. Food smells amazing and had a cute little souvenir shop. Nothing junky - proper art

Called in for a coffee after a morning hike around Ubirr. Sure it looks run down and the tables and chairs are not new. We sat down and 2 local Savannah guides where the only others there. They had a chat with the owner and left which gave us a chance to catch up on the history of the place.... More

The Store on the East Alligator River border with Arnhem? Land. The store was closed when we were there this time but previously the Asian food is top notch. Highly recommended visit but when down by the rice stay on the observation decks as there ARE crocs in the water. Must go to whilst in Kakadu. 😎

We only dropped in for some directions and water but found the Border Store to be a delight. Apart from coffee and food there was the ability to book a tour and get local information.

I would have given the Border Store a better rating except for the condition of the building and the cheap table and chairs. The food was great, the unique position and friendly staff make this restaurant a great option when visiting Kakadu. I would visit again and recommend to friends.

Not sure why you would want to have a Tom Yum soup in 40 deg heat - especially when it would set you back $25. Perhaps if you were desperate. We settled for an ice cream, premium price, but there are no other options unless you were self-catering.
