Couples Dinner last Friday, we all ordered an appetizer, a cocktail each, a main and two bottles of wine. Our bill was 700.00 so when we asked for more bread when our mains arrived - we were shocked to be told that they had to...charge us for the second plate of bread. The first plate was literally 4 tiny slices of baguette. Our food took a bit to arrive, our bill even longer. I was told my spigola would arrive with mixed veggies, it was green beans alone. So I struggle with the variety at the price point and then to be charged for a second helping of bread? We will never go back as a result due to the principal alone. Come on people - post COVID , you want people to dine out? Don't treat us like teenagers ordering one appetizer and sharing it with 6 kids and eating 4 baskets of bread.More

The staff and host at Villaggio Restorante in Vaughan were phenomenal at my son's and fiance's wedding rehearsal dinner. The service was exceptional and the food was superb! There were no left overs to be had! Thank-you Pina and all the staff at Villaggio's. You...made the evening extra special.More

Had dinner on a Monday night - yes a Monday...so not very busy at all. We were a party of 12 - 7 adults, 5 children. Quite possibly one of the worst services we've ever experienced. Servers were not knowledgeable and the lack of care...was very obvious. No masks worn in the kitchen! There are at least 10-15 other Italian restaurants within a 10km radius to choose from...I won't be choosing this one anymore. Dime a dozen.More

Had dinner the other night with some friends. The food was tasty. Good presentation and very fresh. The serving staff were professional and friendly. The ambience was cozy inside although we did want to eat outside, they told us outside had a minimum time of...an hour or so but inside was ok for longer. They didn't have a sommelier per se, however had knowledgeable people who recommended the wine and had a great variety. Great place to check out.More

Ontario has just opened outside restaurants. we decided to go for early dinner to Villaggio in Kleinburg. I called them early to see if we need reservation. nobody pick up my call but the msge said they will call us back. nobody did so we...drove there. we arrived at 4:35. staff and manager were outside. we were told the restaurant will open only at 5. we asked if we could just sit on the patio and wait for the 5 pm. waiter told us that the boss said "no". I told him we will go for the drive and come back after 5. I asked him if we can have a table in the back (on the sunny side). we told him there will be just a two of us. waiter asked if we had a reservation i told him we didn't because nobody called us back. he told us "no problem, they will sit us in the back when we come back". we went for a drive and came back at 5:15. we asked the waiter for our table he went inside. came back and told us than they don't have any available. if we want a small table on the sidewalk we can have it for 1 hour only because they have it reserved. i guess we were supposed to gulp our food like hungry wolves and get out. I told him again that we called to make reservation but nobody called us back. manager didn't even come out. I understand they have more business now than they can handle due to the restrictions, I understand they are booked but at the least they could do is tell us when when we first came in and not asked us to make the trip back. we could have gone to another restaurant instead they treated us like the second class customers. service is definitely not worth the price. you might be full now, but wait another couple of months when everything opens up we go to dinner 1-2 per week. ask me when I will go again to Villaggio. if you want my advice go to COPPER CREEK. better food, better service, great atmosphere and staff always tries to make you feel like it is your place. and by the way - when we got home after our dinner at Copper Creek - I had a call back from Villaggio - 6 o'clock. good we already ate. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g2578931-d786484-r793812837-Villaggio_Ristorante-Kleinburg_Vaughan_Ontario.html#More

The food was good, not great. My seafood pasta was good. My friends salmon was good. Salad and fritto misto was good. Service a little suspect. Always keep a customer's glass of water filled. Never blurt out the amount of the cheque. Ever. But the...best was when I asked for a couple of small slices of bread to do a scarpetta (slurp up the sauce) I was told the first little pieces of bread were complimentary and that if I wanted a little more bread there would be a cost of $5. I have never seen this in my life. You NEVER short change on bread. It's almost sacrilegious. Two plates, an appy, one salad to share and one glass of wine, Including tip, over $160. Too many good restaurants to go back to this one.More

Villaggio is located in a rather unassuming strip plaza just outside of the heart of Kleinburg but don't let the setting fool you. Inside is a large space that uses plenty of glass and wood to create a more intimate and comfortable setting (the glass...enclosed wine cellar is something to see). The food is pretty good too! We shared the rather large arancini appetizer - wonderfully crispy exterior with the pecorino cheese adding nice flavour. The pastas are also excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed the pappardelle with lamb and cavatelli with salmon. Lots of wine selections by the glass. Prices are at the high end (pastas between $21 and $24) and the service excellent.More

Not a first timer here But I am very disappointed with the meal. I had to send back our dishes because they were over cooked and one raw . No one from management came to say anything to us and that’s was bad . When...they brought back both our meals The potion were smaller then the original ones and I was embarrassed to send back my dish because it was again undercook . To be charge 39.00 for a less then. 4 finger size or less the 4oz piece of fish an to charges 40.00 for two piece of veal less then 5oz not worth it at all. I did look around my table and the other guess who ordering the fish were well I guess they were shock as well as I was . Sorry I am only stating this so you can get this right the way I remember this ristorante but our party will be be back . Ciao .More

Nice big restaurant but still cozy & lots of tables...but still make a reservation. There were alot of big parties but they seated us in the back in a nice cozy nook. Waitress came over for our drink orders & I asked to see a...cocktail menu. They didn't have one. I was very shocked at this as it's a nice restaurant and they should have a cocktail menu. She said they could make whatever I wanted but I didn't know what I wanted & looking at a cocktail menu would of have given me ideas. I think they would sell more cocktails with a menu to entice people. I just ordered a glass of chardonnay & my boyfriend ordered a spritz. Another waiter came over to bring us something & asked how we were & I asked if he had any ideas for cocktails since there was no menu & he responded that they can make anything. I said that I don't know what I want & it would be good to have a menu to give people ideas. He told me to have a spritz because my boyfriend was having one but I told him I didn't want a spritz. He was quite stern about not needing a menu & putting my suggestion in the comment box. Not the right thing to say. He finally said that he would pass on my suggestion. I really wasn't trying to be difficult, I was trying to give some advice to increase sales as I think people would order more cocktails if there were interesting items on the list. Same thing goes for after dinner drinks...there should be a menu. Let's move on from this because everything else was wonderful! We ended up ordering a half litre of wine. We felt like a chardonnay and there was only one that we saw so we ordered that & it was great & surprisingly inexpensive. I thought the wines were all well priced. We had the octopus & the shrimp diablo as appetizers. The octopus was so good & it was very different then any other place we've had it. We loved that it came with black olives, potatoes & tomatoes & it was cooked very well. The shrimp diablo was good, nothing unique but ok. Soup of the day was very good - can't remember what it was as my boyfriend had that. I had the raddichio salad with pecans, pear & ricotta & it was very refreshing & I love raddicchio so I loved this salad. My boyfriend had the Aragosta with lobster tail. It was delicious! The lobster tail was cooked well & tasty but he said that he would just have the risotto with the lobster meat & not the lobster tail next time. I had the spigola (european bass) that was cooked whole & served de-boned. It came with a celeriac puree & bean salad. The dish was perfect & I loved all the different tastes. The fish was done simply & I loved that it didn't come with standard veggies & potatoes. It was a unique dish. Make sure you save room for dessert. We had the cheesecake & the espresso creme brulee. The desserts are very large portions! We were surprised how large they were. The creme brulee was very good & we enjoyed the espresso flavour. The cheesecake was incredible! I think it's famous because everyone recommends it. It didn't disappoint...every bite was delicious! If I was looking for a dessert one night, I would come back here & have dessert with a coffee & dessert liqueur. We had a camomile grappa & a calabrese amaro. I've never had this amaro & really enjoyed it. I also have to say that Anessa was our server & she was fabulous. She recommended pretty much the whole meal & we weren't disappointed. She was friendly, knowledgeable & paced our food order just right. Thank you Anessa! (hope I spelled your name correctly). We will be back!More

Good food but very expensive. Aragosta Risotto tasty, but $28 for basically a bowl of flavoured rice? Very difficult to find the lobster pieces in it, but you can add a lobster tail for $22. Seriously? Friendly & helpful staff, nice ambiance, but very noisy...on the patio due to traffic. Inside is much nicer. Will go again, but only for a very special occasion & probably once per year max. Excellent experience if money is no object.More

Clean, light and airy open plan restaurant with views into the kitchen. Came here at 8:50 and it closes at 9:00 on Wednesdays. Our waiter advised please order quickly. We had been at McMichael Gallery for a Northwest Lexus new model unveiling and had already...decided on Villagio based on our findings at TripAdvisor. Food came very quickly and was excellent, wine was fabulous. Only minor criticism is that they muck around with the Ceasar dressing and put honey mustard in it which misses the point of a good creamy garlic Ceasar. Couldn't fault the rest of the food or the service. Also of note is the really smart and clean unisex washrooms. Would go again.More

To be able to "shine" on the busiest night of the year is a pretty good indication that the front and back of the house has their act together.
