Pretty pub. Group of 6 of us and we all had the Sunday roast. Options of beef or pork. Both were great. The beef came with a Yorkshire pudding and the pork with crackling. Vegetables included parsnip, cauliflower cheese, tenderstem broccoli, baby carrot, red cabbage and roast potatoes. One person in our party was limited to only liking chicken (meat... More

We were regular visitors to this pub many years ago when it was privately owned, summer nights with our grand children playing in the play area, then they sold out to a pub chain, things became very hit and miss, big shame great pub lovely location. Today before visiting Seaton Hospital we decided to give it a try. Wow what... More

We(3) pitched up for Sunday lunch as had booked it as a treat for my mother-in-law, and shown to our table. Everything looked good until our food arrived, which was served on lukewarm plates and the food wasn't piping hot. Two of us had the beef which was carved too thick which, although tasty, was a bit chewy. The veg... More

It all started out as quite a promising Sunday lunch. The first waitress was lovely and the drinks arrived promptly, but there was then a bit of a wait for the food order to be taken. However, so far so good. The roast dinners arrived and this was when it all seemed to unravel. The plates didn't seem to be... More

From the moment we arrived at the Harbour Inn on Monday myself and my family felt very unwelcome. The member of staff that 'welcomed' us was rude and far from welcoming. We all felt that us arriving was too much trouble! (There was 9 of us). However the pub was quiet so not sure why they weren't glad of the... More

My husband and I although local had yet to try this place until I was lucky enough to win a Facebook competition. A valentines meal for two. We arrived early for our booking at 7.30pm and were greeted by the lovely Christie, ordered our drinks and were seated straightaway. we had roast belly pork and scallops served with an apple... Visited lunchtime today with my family. Five adults one teenager and three children. We asked for a table for nine and was given a disapproving look from the bar person (female). The pub was almost empty even though it was 1.10 pm. She then said I suppose you can go in the panel room! We ordered drinks and took our... More

Hello Rachel, After reading your comments, I feel I have to reply we change our menu on a regular basis and unfortunately we didn't have what your niece wanted, but if she is a coeliac she wouldn't have been able to have a burger ( which there is still one on the menu) as they are held together with flour.... After a walk on the beach we decided to try a new eater and we were so pleased we did. Delightful old world pub/restaurant beams, inglenook fireplace with a welcome log fire, plenty of tables all slightly different, a nice change to have a place with true personality. The staff were delightful, our waitress Amber couldn't have been kinder and... More

I found the menu limited and more so for my friend who is coeliac . The waitress was very helpful but had limited information about the food. I had the ribs which looked nice but were sadly lacking in meat and flavour also dry. Coleslaw was nice but I left hungry . My friend had a sea bass special which... More
