Having heard so much about this place from friends I decided it was about time to try it for myself. On recommendation I booked in advance, I'm pleased that I did as there were plenty of people dropping in hoping for tables and unfortunately some turned away until later. There are however seats outside, it just depends on whether you... More

This quirky cafe serves delicious homemade cakes scones and other tempting treats accompanied by good coffee. It was our first visit accompanied by my granddaughters and although very busy we were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. The selection of cakes and scones were thoroughly enjoyed. We also purchased some frittata and pie for later consumption, the portions were very generous... More

The running fox came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. Very welcoming staff, plenty of choice, great value for money. Very busy which speaks volumes. Considering this place is located in a small village word of how good it is has obviously traveled wide. Food was delicious. All looked home cooked. We were defeated by the afternoon tea as you... A first visit and seems to be a great place to meet up with friends and family. We only had time for tea/coffee and cake but I was really impressed by the friendly atmosphere and with the design and decor of this place. Personally I would recommend the carrot cake. The lunch menu also looked very inviting. I hope for... More

This is my umpteenth visit to the Running Fox, which I attended on Good Friday. The venue was busy and as a result the service was a little slow, at just under an hour for one course. The filter coffee was plentiful. We had corned beef pie on mushy peas, the pan haggerty pie with salad and soup with a... More

Passed by at1145am on a Friday and decided to pop in for lunch as heard good things about the cafe. Very small room with counter and seated area in room off there. We asked the lady at counter if could seat 3 ( 2 adults and a 9 year old ). Asked if we'd booked which we hadn't as unusual... More

Went there on a sunny Sunday morning with friends who live in Felton. I had eggy bread with sausage and tomato sauce which was amazing. My wife had a cheese scone with fried eggs and bacon which equally tasted as good. A great selection on the coffee and teas. The only down fall was one of us asked for boiled... More

we called in at the Running Fox on Sunday afternoon for tea and scones, the result was the best scones ever tasted with jam and cream, the selection of cakes and bread is without doubt the best ever.
