Our menu philosophy at the Osborne Bay Pub is to use the freshest local seafood & produce from our local suppliers on Vancouver Island. Sourcing local ingredients takes a lot of commitment & love. These two ingredients helped create our Sea to Table menu with a Farm to Table flare that will satisfy your taste buds.

We were in the ferry queue. There was no option. We were pleasantly surprised. Server pleasant. We had shrimp and avocado on pretzel buns with fries. We both found the pretzel bun an odd choice for the flavour combination but it hit the spot and the fries were good, not overdone, not greasy.

Good pub fare overlooking the harbor

We walked over and found very friendly staff and better than expected food. Thursday is burger day and you get a burger and beer for 15$. The pub has both good beer on tap and a nice cider and wine selection- not large but local enough. We loved sitting on the patio.

Very Good and Very Bad !!!!!!

We met another couple to enjoy a nice visit and some good Fish and Chips - The fish and Chips were excellent, very well cooked and very well presented. Our only issue was the service Staff were very poor. There were 2 ladies working and one of the Ladies was spending most of her time with her friend and on her phone - we had to ask a few times for service - simple things like water, vinegar and ketchup should be pretty well standard, but not today.

Terrible, overpriced food with slow service

This pub reminds me of a seed airport strip "Gentlemen's Club"! The food is overpriced and the quality is that of a strip club. I went there for a band that was playing but was disappointed with the atmosphere. To top it all off, the service was really slow and the servers almost solicit a big tip. The one we had was terrible and she practically asked us how much we were going to leave her. Not cool! I can't see any reason for someone to visit this bar, except to see some entertainment that they are familiar with. I can't endorse this bar. It's all show and no go. There advertising techniques are slimy at best too. Their events fliers are posted everywhere ....literally. Every telephone pole and every wall. They even staple them over Chemainus billboards....which are not intended for people to post on. They are literally defacing public property. When they do post on intended public bulletin boards, they cover other relevant ads and announcements....NOT COOL!

Worst food ever.

This place is puzzling at best. The food is always cold, tasteless and service is very slow. Staff turnover is very high. It could be a great place under management that understands hospitality industry. It is just dismal and expensive dismal.

Food was really bad!

We had 2 piece fish & chip it was the special for $20 Fries swimming in grease, fish wasn’t great , cold-slaw off colored & spoiled. My son who loves fish & couldn’t even finish eating it was so bad. We sent fries back came back slightly better. Don’t know how they can serve people such disgusting food! Server was nice but that’s about it.

A night with seafood - Not!

Had one of the specials before, the Fish and Chips on Fridays which were fabulous, and as they had advertised the Seafood special on Saturdays thought we would invite some visitors to join us - What a disappointment. Their website states: Seafood Saturday $23 Seafood lover’s delight! Our signature captain’s catch dinner. Garlic butter prawns, cod bites, mussels, calamari, & coconut prawns. Served with signature coleslaw & hand cut fries. One problem - they don't have it! The waitress told us first that they don't have it on Saturdays if its music nights, hmmm, well yesterday they didn't have music nights due to poor sales of tickets. Then I asked again the same question and this time the answer was "We don't have it, the website should be updated" well which is it? Having all of our taste buds looking forward to the special and then having to make do with the menu didn't make for a good experience. The salt spring mussels were very good, the calamari was adequate, the burger and the beef dip OK but not what we wanted. If this restaurant is going to advertise a special then either have it or take it off of their website. I guess next time we go, if there is a next time, I should phone to see whether their website is correct.

Amazing service and food!!

Myself and my lady are travelling through town and stopped by for happy hour. Our server was makenzie (I think that’s her name) she was an absolute delight! Food and alcohol was faster then any other place on the island hands down. We got x4 beers x2 wines and acouple meals and it was still under $100 including tips. Would highly recommend this place for food or drinks. Thanks makenzie for a great experience!!! The Aussie couple! 👊🏽

🌟 **Osborne Bay Pub, Crofton is a Hidden Gem!** 🌟

We stopped by the Osborne Pub just before 5 PM and were thrilled to discover their Happy Hour menu! 🍻 We each ordered wings (mine honey garlic, Rudy's salt and pepper) for only $10 each—crispy and absolutely delicious! 😋 The small Caesar salad with balsamic glaze was the best I've ever had, and the bowl of soup hit the spot at just $5. 🥗🍲 I sipped on a refreshing Caesar drink while Rudy enjoyed a glass of red wine. 🍹🍷 Our total bill was only $46—such great value! Our server, Yancy, was a delight—super attentive and friendly. 😊 Highly recommend this cozy spot for a fantastic meal and excellent service! 🌟

Local evening eats for two

We stayed in the area for a few nights (Airbnb) and was recommended to eat here. The menu is quite fish heavy but there are meat options - both days I ate here I had a lovely fresh Buddha bowel and chicken my daughter had firecracker prawns one time and the other time chicken Caesar salad. Service is good, nice people, the place was clean and the price very average. Overall would go back and would recommend. Someplace local to eat.

Good pub grub

Great little pub with indoor and outdoor seating. Very quiet for a long weekend when we went for dinner. Website stated a nightly special that we based our visit on- seafood Saturday but this was not available during the summer but replaced with a chef special instead. Food was good though service very slow. Table that came after us had their orders taken immediately and served while we were still waiting. Prices are good though.

If your tried Seafood Chowder before ( anywhere ); for $18.00 this would be the best!!!

Out of this world most superb Seafood Chowder. It was composed ( as in musical term ) of 2 prawns; 3 mussels in the shell; and 10-12 shrimp. Harmonized in a herbed wine sauce, along with a few vegetables. The absoute best of this type of performance in the area.

Tasty Dinner. Best House made Salsa

We were in Crofton visiting my Father-in-Law and wanted to treat him for dinner. He told us he had heard good things about the Osborne Bay Pub. So off we went! The servers was very friendly and attentive. They were following all covid rules. It was really dark inside. It wouldn't hurt to turn the lights up a little bit. My spouse had the nachos. There was lots of toppings on all rows. There house made salsa was incredible. I had there Beef Dip with fries. This is the best beef dip I have ever had. The beef & au jus is seasoned perfectly. There was a little pink to the beef which personally I love. The bun was toasted perfectly. All around a great experience!

4 of us went to the pub after walking the boardwalk and have to tell you the food was excellent and bountiful! Our server was Liz and the service was excellent..in fact all the staff we had an occasion to meet were very friendly. Our opinion a 10.! we will return. We sat out on the patio and it is family friendly.

Best Seafood chowder in the area/Don't miss it.

The Calamari was excellent ( Jalapinos, peppers,dip ). The seafood Chowder was as usual, superb. Good sevice and good food.
