Wasabi is, quite simply, perfection. You may have to mortgage the house to trot along for a feed, but it's worth it. We had not been there for a few years and were captivated by the new a la carte menu : three courses each (at $85.00 a head) which resulted in six delish dishes to share. Our favourite was... More

A beautiful venue and a great sunset if you arrive early enough. A very knowledgeable and pleasant waitress. Quite a good wine list. The sashimi was one of the freshest that we'd had in quite a while, absolutely delicious. All other dishes were equally as good. Walked out feeling sufficiently full but still light which, was great. A must do... More

We had a lovely fine dining experience here. Neither of us are expert in Japanese food so it was great to have a menu of six plates for sharing. We really enjoyed the food and the service was helpful and friendly. The decor is vey tasteful. Expensive but worth it.

We are not afraid to pay for a thoroughly good meal but we had a choice of $85 for 2 starters and a main or 7 or 9 courses. The food was much better when they were in Sunshine beach. They have complicated things too much. Good service and the staff were well trained.

What an awesome night. The degustation is worth the experience. It's a thoughtful meal that will impress. We also went the wine match which was great. Tried out some wines we had never heard of before which was great fun. It's expensive but worth it.

Wasabi came with great recommendations as a "must do" dining experience however, we were quite disappointed, especially based on the price. We had an amazing waitress who was great about food intolerances and all the dishes sounded delicious in theory but didn't deliver. The fish tasted dry, old and tired and a lot of the flavour combinations just didn't work.... More

Highly recommended by friends we were expecting something special, however what we ended up with was extremely over priced with a service that was un-audible and very average. The four of us all regretted wasting our time let alone money in going.

It was a last minute decision to take the plunge and dine like royalty. We booked on Thursday morning for Friday lunch. I asked for a table with a view, and I think if you are looking for a view, go for lunch and not dinner. The weather plays a big part in the whole experience. We were sitting right... More

We had high expectations after this was recommended to us. Unfortunately it didn't live up to it. The wagu was just average. Wasn't bad but was far from great and after being charged an extra 25pp for it we expected more. On a positive note the lamb gyoza's The nigiri were good. Maybe it was an off night. Which isn't... From the moment we arrived, to the music play list, to the dish introduction at every delivery, the nine course degustation was nothing less than impeccable. Worth the splash. The only faulter i could give was if they had added to the Japanese experience with a warm towel at the end of the meal, yet really nothing more to say... More

Description
Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2015 Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted Queensland's Hottest Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.
