As locals usually dining at the less celebrated restaurants in the area, we chose Wasabi to celebrate our joint wedding anniversaries with friends, who had recently returned from a trip to Japan. We had the most amazing meal. The food was exquisite, and the staff...More

Highly recommend the dinner at wasabi. We had the spring tasting menu it was luxurious, exciting and delicious. The sustainability and freshness of the produce adds to the satisfaction of the meal. Definitely deserving of its status as the best regional restaurant in QLD.

The food at this wonderful Japanese restaurant is excellent! So is the service. It’s not cheap but the price for the 3 course menu we all had was reasonable. Highly recommend! But warning, difficult to get a taxi back, use uber.

I was with my husband, Philip, when we visited on 19 October and his negative review was consistent with my opinion. To receive a 700 word response suggesting my husband's review was misconceived is hardly warranted and is unlikely to curry favour with potential diners!...More

Sorry for my lengthy response as Philip had taken the time to write his complaint, I felt I should address each of his points in kind. So upon your suggestion, I will keep this short and sweet. 'wasabe' (Wasabi sp.) changes its menu by the...More

We are so disappointed. This is our 10th trip to Noosa and we have usually dined at Wasabe at least twice each trip, notwithstanding the cost! Something has changed - we just had one of the most forgettable Japanese meals we have had and we...More

I am very sorry you didn't enjoy your last visit with us, as you clearly and repeatedly expressed during the evening. I can see, via our reservation system, you have dined with us 5 times in the last few years. The other bookings, perhaps you...More

Wasabi is amazing, not a cheap night out but an incredible dining experience. We went for the set 7 courses and were attended to by the owner herself, Danielle. Always good to see the owner so involved in every aspect of the restaurant and so...More

Decided to splash out on our last night. Booked a few nights in advance and ordered the degustation menu and a separate bottle of wine rather than the extra package of matched wines. Dishes were unique and magnificently presented and nice. Service also impeccable. $400...More

I'd heard mixed reviews about Wasabi but was delighted by every aspect of the whole dining experience. Creative ambient and delicious. Expensive but worth it. Would definitely recommend. Service exceptional.

Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2015 Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted Queensland's Hottest Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.
