While the location mightn't be considered 'special' by some, it more than makes up for it with a great view of pedestrian thoroughfare (hello, people watching), DELICIOUS food (try the dumplings) and happy, attentive staff. It has great atmosphere at night as it's typically packed with good music going too. Gaston is easily in our top 3 places to eat... More

Stumbled upon this place when looking for a place for dinner. Everywhere else was quite pricey but Gaston had a deal on for $55 for a bottle of wine and two main courses. Had great service here - the waiter was very friendly. Would recommend the chilli prawn spaghetti!

Gaston is our absolute favourite place to eat on Hastings St. The food is delicious, kids menu is great and the staff are exceptional.

We stopped in here for breakfast on our last day in Noosa. The food was great (waffles and bacon and egg burgers). Surprisingly well priced, under $40 for 3, half the price of other options around town. Worth a visit.

We had a delicious lunch, I had the Vietnamese pork belly salad special ($19 incl a beer), and she had the sizzling pot of garlic prawns w baguette ($24). Both good. The salad was especially fresh coleslaw with mint and coriander flavours very authentic. Service was a bit abrupt- I guess just because it was very a very hot day... More

We visited Gaston for lunch and were after their beer/ wine + daily lunch meal for 15$ deal. The service was fast, food came on time and it was good but nothing special. With the lunch deal, the place is definitely a 4 but with normal prices the experience and food is 3. We had a version of fish &... More

Ate here a couple of nights ago with our 3 kids. Really pleasant staff, yummy food, great kids meal selection. Main meals delicious although the salad could have had more dressing. The magician on that night great fun and all up a lovely experience. Would go again for sure.

Went here for a late lunch and enjoyed the relaxed vibe. The garlic prawns were amazing and the best Bloody Mary I've had in ages!

We have eaten twice at Gaston. Nachos and tequila, then yum cha with sangria. Delicious. Love watching people stroll by. Great atmosphere.

Pretty much whoever is making coffee just made fun of us for ordering a chai latte and told us we should buy water at the Seven Eleven next door because they only have San Pelegrino. He was so condescending that I wonder if he had a problem with us speaking another language. But being french, let me say: HORRIBLE CROISSANTS.... More

The new cool in Noosa dining is at Gaston Bar Bistro. A stylish and edgy fit out, the restaurant boats an incredible selection of food and wine. The service is relaxed and friendly. Snacking is something Gaston excels in. If you are just dropping in for a glass of Ribeauville pinot blanc or a Peroni - hit the Chinese chicken or the pizzetta or maybe a little iron pot of sizzling garlic prawns to share.
