We went for the Friday fish special and was not disappointed. Delicious crispy battered fish and tasty chips. The staff were very helpful and super efficient. Would definitely recommended for flavour and value.
We visited the Red Apple restaurant and art gallery today. Terrific selection of items on the menu for Friday night (already sold out) and a very promising Sunday brunch. We were impressed by work done by local artists, especially cards by Trish Visser.
Remember the days when Sunday lunch was a roast with veg ? OK this is not quite that but the main course is a full carvery and last Sunday [January 11] I was offered a choice of pork, fillet and beef or as many of...them as I wanted and veg. There were also starters and desert and all for R125 a head. Pretty good value I thought, and so it seems did the locals as a lot of them were there. The food was good and the service fine - the carvery is "go and get it" while the starters and desert are served. Hope it is still doing this at Easter when I am back.More
Pleasant surroundings with interesting art work for sale.
I had the squid heads, well prepared and tasty. Good size portion and delicious chips. My wife had an omelette, very generous filling of fete with spinach. Her rooster cook was fresh and tasty.
Services was good...and friendly. Well worth a visit.More
We were based on tourist info under the impression that it was a farm stall among other. When we visited, we were somewhat disappointing because we only found a coffee shop at the time of the day. There was also a nursery and an art...gallery. At least the coffee was OK.More
We had a party of 6 people who all raved about the Red Apple. The starters, the main course, dessert and cheese plater were all brilliant. The staff were attentive and friendly. A wonderful Sunday dinner
