A regular stopping off place where they do a great Sunday roast. As with most places the roast dinners will run out the later in the day you leave it and at 4pm yesterday there wasn't any lamb left. However there was beef and chicken and I'm pleased to report that the beef was excellent; nice and moist and not... More

Absolutely superb firework display in our local pub which gets more impressive (and more popular) each year. Really well organised with outside catering and bar to cope with the ever increasing crowd. The profits from the outside bar go to a children's charity making it all even more special. The display is free entry (although there are collectors around taking... More

Over priced at £15 for a coiple of slices of Beef, Boiled Red Cabbage & Carrots. Meat was cold whole waiting for the very small amount of veg to.come out. Wife had some Btoccoli & Stiltkn tart which.looked bland tasted bland and was very dry. Looked like it was brought from ASDA. Wont be going there again in a hurry

I have visited the White Hart Sherfield many times and thought the service and food were of a very high standard, but now I don't know what to say the food was overcooked(my burger was the fist ever that was tough) the presentation was none existence. This visit was as a present for my Birthday, but I will never recommend... More

I have just had the best pub Sunday roast I have ever had. The lamb roast was incredible. Paired with a very pleasant pint and the F1 in the back ground it made the perfect Sunday lunchtime.

The lamb roast fell off the bone and the Yorkshire puddings were spot on. Was a great find on a Sunday afternoon, will come back again for an evening meal

Have you ever asked for "no gravy" and found that the chef had simply tipped the gravy off your food before it was served? So together with cold food and uncooked potatoes for my dinner guests it was not a stonking success . . ..

We live in the village, and do come here quite often. We came this evening for a quiet drinks in the lovely beer garden with our children. Experience this evening, not so good. The service was very slow, and very irritating when regular after regular wandered in and were served instantly, and certainly before me, despite my being very visible... More

Hello 201DaveH201, Our staff are trained to serve customers in turn, at busy times we can sometimes get that wrong. If you could please let me know who was serving I will be able to make sure this does not happen again. More

After driving through the local country side and shunning the Calleva Arms as it was very busy we came across The White Hart. Great find. The Youngs beer was excellent and the brisket sandwich I had in the Jewish deli style was superb, great soup too. The service was brilliant, friendly but not over the top. It is expensive but worth it... More

Visited for lunch while passing through. Food was tasty, hot and well presented (bangers and mash) and the bar team were friendly and helpful. Will call in again.

Description
The White Hart is very much a 17th century traditional pub, retaining oak beams, brick fireplaces and many reminders of days gone by. We are open all day, offering a very warm welcome, great pub dining, and award winning ales, wines and soft drinks. Coachman's corner is a real favourite, an area to relax, unwind and enjoy a drink and conversation with friends by the open log fire.
A delightful place for tourists and walkers to dry off in the winter. Our restaurant offers great pub dining with full waitress service throughout serving freshly prepared food with speciality fish dishes all cooked to order.
