Although it was quite busy, we had great service and tasty food. Considering the volume of customers, our food came in a timely manner and our drinks never went dry while waiting. The view was an added bonus.

We stopped to check the surf and ended up eating and drinking instead! The Fish sandwich was very good, the jalapeño Tatar sauce was great on the sandwich. The bar tender seemed a little uninvolved and more concerned about the locals but es como es. I don't blame him. The beer was cold, the atmosphere was great and we made... More

Revisited Rincon recently after a couple years' absence and was happy to see Calypso still going strong. It worth noting that in September, still kind of off-season, the place is open for lunch and dinner (at least on the weekends). Cheerful ambience with a great setting on Maria's Beach. Hang out and watch the sunset, chat with the transplants and... More

I have not eaten too much at Calypso however the bar is very casual and fun. It has a great view, the bartenders are kind and they always have good bands. Nice and open plenty of parking.

I had a great time here after a day at the beach, humidity in the air, sunset, brief rain, music, eating, drinking, meeting people, watching a lightning storm over the ocean after dark then the orchestra of the coqui frogs serenading us back to our car.

This place is truly like no other bar/restaurant I have ever been in. All old guys sitting at the bar were old hippies from the 60's who came here and never left. All the music that they played while we were there, was from the sixties. I am not of that generation, but since I like the music, I really... More

Its one of those places that has location, location, location. The food was nothing to brag about. I don't plan to go back to eat. I wasn't particularly happy when they told me they had well water and you had to buy a bottle (maybe the tourists will buy that).

Everything! :) I am telling you, I had the BEST Chicken Quesadilla there. There wasn't anything special or fancy about it...but somehow it was extraordinary. I made my dad try it and he, too, was impressed. I was feeling in the mood for some true island vacation flavor--and went straight for the pina colada. Also may have been the best... More
