Namu was a delightful stop on our way back to Toronto from Niagara. While it was a little out of our way, we were so glad we went. The restaurant was quaint, service was friendly, and the food was divine. We started with sushi tacos...and the Canadian salmon roll which were both delicious. Then we had the Szechuan noodles and Korean BBQ. Flavors were bold yet balanced, and we enjoyed every bite.More

I met friends from work who I see a couple times a year for dinner to celebrate an occasion. The minute we were seated we felt rushed. We ordered wine and we’re hurried to order our three appetizers, and our three entrees. When they came...only one was still hot. Ordered our second bottle of wine. When our dinners came, again one was room temperature on a cast iron sizzle plate. Again not ideal but nothing said. We eat our meals and conversations were great. When we asked for dessert menus, we were asked to leave. It had been an hour and a half and our time was up and we could not have dessert and had to leave. We were not aware of this, or expect this treatment at all. We were enjoying our time together and had spent a fair bit of money. Never have I experienced such treatment and will never be back to an over priced, mediocre food and ownership who isn’t respectful to their clientele. An unbelievable disappointing experience that dampened our short enjoyable evening together for long time friends.More

This is a great spot for dinner-we just went for the first time on Thursday! For appys we had the sushi tacos which was really next level. We also tried the octopus and admittedly, it was just so-so (a little overcooked and under-seasoned). For mains...I had the black cod that was so juicy and well cooked. Hubby had the Rendang that had a great depth of flavour. Apart from the octopus, everything was SO SO good. We will definitely go again. Highly recommend.More

One of the best meals I’ve had it a long time. Both my friends and I ordered Miso Black Cod. It was delicious, very flavourful and serving staff were friendly and efficient, I can’t wait to go back!

The food, at least the appetizers, local beer, and desserts, are delicious. Eat bao. Drink beer. Repeat. You’ll love it. There are some service peculiarities. I’m not sure it this is because it was loud, due to COVID masks, or cultural background but we did...have to keep stealing a menu back from the wait staff and nearby tables so we could order more of the amazing food. Worth the adventure though!More

My husband ordered the coconut beef dish on rice. Why they would give you Naan bread as a side, when half the dish was rice, is inexplicable. No vegetables at all with this dish. The Shrimp on egg noodle was delicious. Huge shrimp and beautifully...done noodles. Again, a little scarce on the vegetables...a few slices of red pepper, a bit of bok choy and 2 pieces of broccoli. I'd order here again, but only if they put veggies on the dishes in a lot more abundance.More

Expectations were high, but the food didn’t even come close. It wasn’t bad… just ho hum and very expensive. Expect to pay for an appetizer that you would pay for a main meal. You can easily make the Brussels sprouts at home; nothing special. The...lobster dumplings were flavourable and very good. The eggplant bao was not edible. The octopus was the most tender I have ever had. But, there wasn’t much of it and it was over marinated so it might have been anything. Everyone ordered the babimbap in various configurations. All were bland. Small dishes were supplied with a hot sauce or soy sauce containing about 5 ml. A litre was needed to add flavour to this dish. Skip the undercooked egg in the middle … that was an unpleasant surprise. Service was abrupt and seemed rushed. The restaurant was full, so it was busy. COVID vaccination records were available, but no one was interested in checking.More

My daughter and I came here one evening for dinner. We weren't comfortable sitting inside so we were planning to come another time. However the server with a big smile said there was no problem as she set up a table for us outside. We...had a marvelous meal - my daughter had the blackened code and I had a shrimp dish. The tastes were amazing. In fact it was so good that i had to come here for take out last week - i grabbed a calamari and a general tsai chicken rice bowl. Again, just totally delicious. i totally recommend this restaurant.More

Wow! The food was so delicious! We had the calamari to start which was good perfectly. We then had the black cod and the shrimp noodles and both were incredible. Friendly service and they have done a nice job of offering a pleasant outdoor eating...experience. Would highly recommend.More

Had a Covid compliant family celebration. We ordered some of our favourite dishes - bao sandwiches to share, fried brussel sprouts, and mains like bibimbab and chicken rice bowl. All was the great quality we expect from Namu, and the mains did not suffer from...being kept warn in the oven. The food was ready for pick up at the agreed time. Looking forward to the next time.More

My boyfriend and I went to Namu last night for an early birthday celebration. The patio was very cute and private. The menu had us wanting to order at least one of everything on it! We got 3 appetizers (and 1 as a nice surprise...from the owner) Sushi Tacos, Fried Chicken steamed Bao, Pork and Beef Mandu, and Borani Dip with wonton chips. All of the apps were amazing and addictive. The steamed bao really stood out to us- the chicken was ridiculously juicy with crispy exterior and the buns were super fluffy and light. (We will definitely be back to try the 3 other varieties) For our mains we got the Beef Rendang Curry and Kalbi Burger with fries. The smell of the curry was incredible. Super aromatic, rich and (like everything so far) addictive. The burger- that I stole a bite of... was delicious. Very juicy with garlic aioli and sweetness from the caramelized onions. I would highly recommend Namu to anyone that loves great food . :) The service was quick and friendly. We will for sure be back! Thanks Namu !!More

My fiancé and I ordered Namu after we were starving after golf yesterday. We ate there regularly prior to the pandemic. They were very accommodating for our order, had our food ready in 20 min, and it was delicious as always! We can't wait to...go back in person. The service and food is unparalled! Highly recommend.More
