While on a day trip we had dinner at the Chena Hot Springs Restaurant. The service was good. The food was fresh and tasty. A couple of us had the tomato basil soup which was delicious. I had a very fresh green salad with a simple grilled tomato cheese sandwich. Good comfort food. Others had the halibut dinner and one... More

Food was ok, nothing to crazy but it's crazy expensive. The package my husband bought included dinner luckily but my halibut was over cooked and a little on the dry side.

Homey sort of restaurant with OK comfort foods. Mostly a coffee shop experience. Service was a little slow. Food was acceptable. Price was high, but given it was the only place to eat for miles, the prices were probably reasonable.

There are not many options in the Chena Hot Springs area to eat and we needed dinner before heading back to Fairbanks as it was already pretty late. There was a 30 minute wait at the restaurant. The food was tasty, but nothing special. We ordered the halibut & chips and the smoked salmon pasta. Both lacked flavor, adding a... More

Came as part of a tour. Good service. Really nice food. Great fish of course. Decent choice for only restaurant in town! Enjoyed the fish and chips.

they kinda have you over a barrel here you are 55 miles from town, & no place else to go , , , the food was basic and very average , the restaurant / bar is small so waiting for a table takes a little time , but then again they are the only game in town

Was not too impressed with resort, although it was a unique place to see, but we did stop and eat at restaurant. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Decor was old Alaskan, staff was fun and professional and food was very good! To make it even better I forgot my credit card and did not know it till we flew... More

We were here for a photography expedition and did have all our meals at the restaurant. There was enough variety to keep me interested and healthy options, even during lent. It was disappointing - but not unexpected to have so many things frozen to have available (I missed the fresh fish at home) but the sesame chicken salad was awesome... More

I would hate to know I had to eat every meal at this place on a vacation, as we were only visiting on a day tour to see the aurora. Noticing the unsanitary practices, and general filth of this resort, I couldn't help wondering about the cleanliness of the kitchen. I don't understand the positive reviews of Chena Hot Springs.... During the winter, this place is 60 miles from the nearest restaurant. Considering how remote, the food is very good and the prices aren't as scary as one would expect. We brought groceries from town just in case. But the restaurant was actually better.
