Quaint ambiance and very good food. We had butternut squash soup, calamari, gnocchi Gorgonzola, filet mignon, caramel cheesecake and limoncello tartufo. All very good. Pleasant and attentive service.

The smoldering smell of mold was the first thing that hit me when we went in, our waiter was unfriendly and rushed despite we came at 4.30 pm. We ordered Salmon and Fettuccini with chicken. Both meals had to be sent back, the Salmon was...over cooked and dry and still had a horrible fishy smell and the chicken was old and tasted like it was days old. What a waste of time.More
Great dinner! Went fir anniversary and couldn’t ask fir a more romantic, intimate dinner setting. Is quite dark in their, so bring reading glasses and use ur phones backlight if need. Service was wonderful and very professional. Highly recommend the fillet Mingon. Came with a...roasted potatoes and carrots, green beans and red peppers. Meat had a sherry wine reduction sauce. The medium was cooked perfect and melted in my mouth. Had the caramel cheesecake and it was delicious.More
Our group of four enjoyed dinner at Cabotto’s last evening. Our two appetizer dishes, four entrees and desserts were each uniquely delicious. Our charming, efficient server made us feel special and the atmosphere of being in a beautifully maintained elegant home’s dining room was delightful....We will go back soon and tell our friends about this wonderful Italian restaurant. Thank you, Cabotto’s!More
Cabotto’s has become our favourite Italien restaurant in Ottawa. To celebrate my daughters eighteenth birthday we booked her birthday dinner here. Aside from the ambiance of the restaurant setting itself, we have always had great service coupled with exceptional tasting food. This celebratory dinner was...no different on all counts. Our waiter was top notch as were the meals. Not one person in our party had a negative comment about their meal or service. As always the portions were very generous, fresh and super tasty. A few members in our party requested doggie bags as they couldn’t finish their meals but be because it was so good they wanted to take the leftovers home. All in all we had a wonderful celebratory dinner and we will most definitely be back.More
Went there with 3 friends before a concert at the ctc. Food and service was superb. I loved that the portions weren't overwhelmingly huge . They weren't teensy weensy but left you feeling like you might have room to share a dessert. I live in...downtown Ottawa but will definitely make a point of going back there. Beautiful building and decor as well.More
Everything was delicious , from the fried zucchini, Caesar salad , lobster ravioli , chicken parm , chicken sautlimbocca and amazing tiramisu! Service attentive and friendly in a cosey atmosphere Will return
We wanted to have just a couple glasses of wine away from home so we went there around 8.30. They were rude and didn’t accept us sitting because the restaurant closes at 10. There were plenty of people who had just started their meals and...plenty of tables free. We told them we don’t need anything from the kitchen just 2 glasses of wine and that’t it. Still they didn’t want to take any more tables. This is a very effective way to lose a customer. It was our first and last visit.More
We decided on Cabotto’s as it had been several years since our last visit. We booked our table online and on arrival the check in was super smooth. Our vaccine status was checked and once completed we were promptly seated at our table. Given that...we are still in the pandemic tables were well spaced and all the staff were fully masked putting us totally at ease. My wife chose the Gnocchi Gorgonzola while I had the Veal Mignonette which was advertised as a house specialty. When our meals arrived the portions were very generous but more importantly the food was outstanding. All in all the entire evening was superb. Given how few opportunities we have had to go out due to the pandemic we could not have asked for a better meal out. Cabotto’s did not disappoint and we won’t leave it so long to return again.More
Great food and service, very busy and loud. More like a bar than fine dining. Good size portions and tasty. I had the stuffed veal
Food was okay. For the price of the entrees I thought we'd get more than one roll each. Our server was fine but nothing special. I thought it was going to be a typical Italian family restaurant but we didn't see or meet any of...the owners.More
Food was fabulous…..hot and delicious Service was courteous and attentive. Ambiance is very chic, we will be back soon
The employees forced me to participate in a reenactment of the war of 1812 where I was forced into a firing line and had leg blown off by a stray cannon ball.
My regular go-to restaurant. Absolutely the best rack of lamb in the city. Wonderful owners and staff.
The location has great parking and it is a beautiful Canadian stone house. Inside you are surrounded by a warm home atmosphere. The "greeter" is so vivacious and welcoming. We had the osso bucco and the braciole. Calamari to die for and a server -marco-...of perfection. While tosca remains our 35 year favorite italian - this place is fantastic. What a great nite. Physical distance was perfect. Wowzee😇😎More
