Worth the drive. Authentic Chinese food, great service and the hot and sour soup will make you a believer.

Le Gourmand Notre-Dame is a superior Asian cuisine restaurant halfway between Montebello and Mont-Tremblant on Hwy 323. On the advice of neighbours, we ordered a combo for two. Well! We had delicious soups, a spring roll each, pork dumplings in peanut sauce, huge platters of General Tso Chicken (crispy!), sauteed beef (so tender) and a vegetable platter with at least seven vegetables. Each item was delicious! The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant seats 44 and can be partitioned for groups. There is an outdoor patio as well. The interior decorating is beautiful and of high quality. It's a real gem! We have enough leftovers for the entire weekend - lunch and dinner!

My family was visiting from out of province and stopped and this restaurant. We were so impressed that we ordered take out the next day. Great selection, taste, service and a homely atmosphere. I appreciate mom and pop restaurants because food is made with a lot of love.

we were 4 ordering different meals. the food was fabulous from the soup(hot and sour /won ton) to 4 different entries(spring roll, rice paper roll, dumpling, etc) each diner had the same review of really flavourful and refined at the same time. the main courses were each as different as the other items ordered from crispy beef to spicy shrimp, general tao chicken and black bean shrimp. The chef presented rich and falvourful food without going overboard on the spicy aspect of each meal. they offer chinese beer that is good and a brief wine list, but it is the food that is the star of the show. The service was good. We were not rushed and each plate was steaming hot.

One of the best restaurants in the area. Large selection and specialties. The general tao chicken is awesome. Service somewhat slow but getting better, went a few times this summer and will return. Most of Chinese inspiration.

You have to try this place!! The food was excellent, true flavors. No MSG, fresh, local and organic. Easy to find and lots of parking. Also a very clean place. Everyone was so friendly.
General Tao Chicken was pretty darn good. And also the Crispy Beef with the Orange sauce (a bit sweet and you can really taste the orange)
Portions are very generous.
It is worth the detour!!!

This is a lovely restaurant with outdoor seating -- a view of the "back" of Notre Dame. It was very relaxing. Unfortunately, my meal was a "C" at best. I ordered a ham and cheese crepe. There was almost no cheese (and therefore almost no flavor), and the crepe was significantly overcooked making it dry and unappetizing. I gave up after a few bites despite the fact that I generally eat everything in sight!. The salad, on the other hand was delicious.

My first visit goes back to almost six months. I felt a little update wouldn't hurt if only on a few points. First, during those six months, I have eaten there on average once a week, sometimes more. Apart from being conveniently located for me, the quality of the food, the value for money and the good service, time after time, the size of each order and their willingness to serve their clients has maintained themselves constantly. The patrons have also added new items on the menu and made it a policy to buy all they could from local farmers and providers. It remains one of the best restaurants in the region and is well worth the detour if you'r not in the immediate area.

Arrived enroute to Mt Tremblant 20 minutes before closing; yet we were greeted with welcoming smiles and excellent service throughout. The decor was quaint and very clean. Menus were in English and French. We ordered the Table d'hote for about $18.00. It included a choice of soups, an appetizer, and a HUGE plate of food. I had a hot and sour soup, peanut butter dumplings, and cashew chicken with vegetables. All were delicious! I could barely eat half, so the rest came home for next night's supper. My husband had the won ton soup, a spring roll, and green curry chicken. He said it was fantastic. This place is 10 minutes north of the highway 50, on the Montebello/Mt. Tremblant exit. I will definitely return. It's closed Monday's and Tuesday's.

My mother and I decided to try this restaurant being it recently opened. I do not live in the area but knowing the owner once had a restaurant close to where I live, I knew I would not be disappointed. My mother had a wonton soup and sweet & sour pork and for myself, a hot & sour soup and chicken with green curry with basil & coconut milk and as per title of this rating, it was pure deliciousness. There was so much flavour in every dish served and portions are very generous. Prices are very affordable. Service is really good and staff as well as owner are very friendly. Am so glad there is such a good restaurant in this area. Will definitely go back with my husband and family members the next time we come back to visit my mom.
