I'm often going to this place to enjoy the backyard. When the weather is good, the terrace outside is really enjoyable and calm. Going there for coffee or wine on weekends is great. Furthermore, prices are correct and free wifi is present (Same price as most of the place on Darby St).

Great breakie! Really tasty food! Coffee was awesome! Had the eggs benny and Sicilian omelette - great choices and great sized meals. Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.

Had a business lunch here and found everything to be tip top - great food, great service, great atmosphere. I loved the decor throughout but particularly the statement the chairs made. Wouldn't mind going back for more.

Was a cold night, we were greet warmly specials such as ragout and pasta written for the weather. Yum. Wife and I loved it, as fennel was not on everything. The gluten free pale ale was a bit tasteless, but good all the same.

I had never been to Newcastle before this trip, only passing it on the way to Nelson Bay a few years ago. I live on the Lower North Shore of Sydney and we left at 7pm on a Friday evening to try and avoid the bulk of the traffic on the Pacific Highway, eventually stopping off at a service centre... More

Went to Goldbergs for breakfast on a weekend away. Service was excellent friendly and efficient. Liked the fact you could help yourself to water while waiting for coffee. The food was very good particularly the Spanish omelette. The coffee was superb !

We had a lovely lunch and coffee with our grandson. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. The staff dealt really well with a 6 year olds 'particularities' , I was very thankful for that! The coffee was very good as was the lunch. We had our puppy with us also and they had no problems with that (we did sit... More

The drinks are amazing, excellent baristas. I have been there many times and only once not been completely happy with my meal.

Goldbergs has a long history on Darby Street, having built up a solid reputation and loyal customer-base over the years. I have been referred there by many friends and have visited on several occasions, usually for brunch or lunch. My most recent visit occurred when my friend invited me to meet her for breakfast/brunch. It was a Monday, mid-morning and... More

Upon entry to this quirky little venue we were greeted with a welcoming smile and seated almost immediately. The staff seemed accustomed to the busy atmosphere and appear to take it in their stride. Wait staff appeared as soon as we were seated and the caffeine and breakfast arrived very quickly and was to say the least very satisfying. I... More
