We'd read about this in one of the guide books and decided to give it a try. It was still very busy at 2:30 but we were able to get a table. The menu has English translation, which is great because otherwise it'd be hard to decipher the local cuisine. My partner opted for the roast pork, and was presented... More

We ate here twice, all because of the garlic soup. We were trying to have it twice. But the cabbage soup was the only available. Equally as good. The rest of the food was good, authentic, no frills food. It was cold and rainy, so we had to eat inside. There aren't too many tables, so you may have to... More

I ate here in January during our trip to the Czech Republic. We had many excellent meals in the country and were treated well by everyone - except here. Plain and simple bad food and poor service. If you like sub-par food slammed on the table in front of you with grunts and rolled eyes, this place is for you.... More

Since I was not really hungry, I just ordered the potato omelet - it was very tasty and filling and I've enjoyed every bite. My husband had the dill soup and since he does not eat mushroom, I ended up with his soup - it was so good. We're so glad a local recommended this place. It definitely added to... More

This place was a lucky find in place full of tourist catered restaurants and pubs. Our tour guide recommended the place and we were thankful he did. Food was great and the overall atmosphere was authentic and enjoyable. Noticed many locals eating there which is a good sign. I had a very generous serving of the pork potato dumplings which... Small traditional cozy brewery. The price was very cheap .. excellent choice!!!! (OK we have to accept... More

There were always as many if not more Czechs in here than other tourists – always a good sign. We only ever paid about 500Kr for lunch or dinner for 2 with drinks. We can recommend the fish soup, leek and egg soup, liver dumpling soup, baked fish, pork with potato dumplings (the best in Česky Krumlov), goulash, fried mushrooms,... More

This place was recommended to me by my tour guide at Wiseman tours, who happens to be the son of the owner. He said it was "the best restaurant", and of course I didn't take that too seriously. However, I decided to give it a go (tour guide was a legend) and I was really impressed by both the quality... More

Me and my husband had our meal here after we were advised this place by the owner of the hotel where we stayed in. As the owner is local we trusted her which was a big mistake! Really I have no idea why locals recommend this restaurant, maybe because they are friends, but do not trust anyone who recommends you... More

Typical czech food, must try! Portion was great and price was cheap. Must try the hot chocolate! I ordered kurechi przsicka na zampionech (chicken + vegetables) for 191ck (about 7.5€) and it was delicious. Loved the mushroom! My friend ordered veproby rizek for 203ck (about 8€). Hot choc cost about 3€. Service was okay. At that time, there were not... More
