We weren't sure at first, deterred by the fancy dress costume. What a wonderful find, lovely service and great food.

Already been there 5 years ago. In 2012 we didn't have Tripadvisor app, just chose this restaurant because it was right next to our hotel, but pig's knuckle and tatar beefsteak became my instant favourites in Prague so I couldn't resist the temptation to return here - and wasn't dissapointed. Anytime I go to Prague in the future, this restaurant... More

Fantastic, we went twice whilst in Prague. Great atmosphere, and some fab jazz music. Service on both occasions was fantastic. Lukas Kozel has the best sense of humour with a great understanding of the English language. Can't recommend enough.

Excellent food with friendly & attentive staff. Meals are traditional Czech, so dumplings with nearly everything. Forget British dumplings, the Czech style are something else, give them a go! So impressed we went back for a second visit

Arrived Prague at 10 pm thanks to "uneasy jet " flight. I've tasted goulash from around old town but personally this is the most palatable. The waiters are very friendly and very attentive ( surprisingly-) which makes the atmosphere even better. Husband tried the light beers and said it was good. And white wine was not bad either.

Really enjoyed our visit, and the pork schnitzel was a challenge due to its size. The chicken schnitzel was a lot smaller, and a bit more manageable, but both were beautifully cooked. The beer was excellent (dark one) and well worth sampling.

Our Czech friends made a reservation for 8pm. Good thing because the line outside was 10 people long and the the temp. was 28F (Jan. 3). The porter/hostess is dressed like a medieval warrior, which was a nice touch. Inside it looks like a medieval tavern. The food is good, abundant, but not gourmet. I had the pork schnitzel and... Quite comfortably the best restaurant we visited with my friends in Prague. Its a great place for fine dining. The food was expertly cooked, the menu was well thought out and every meal, including digestive from the chef, complimented each other and contributed to a brilliant dining experience. Fine chilled beer . Presentation was immaculate, staff were knowledgable and extremely polite... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
