I am sitting here after my meal & HAD to write a review! The staff/manager were amazing & the food even better! We had the Meat Ball pasta in Napolitano sauce & was one of the best pastas I have had! Felt like we were in Italy somewhere! Thanks again:)

It's an enjoyable place w unusual decor in the second room. We tried pizza, pasta, minestrone and it was all pretty good. The waiter was very kind. I strongly suggest this restaurant to Italian food lovers. Yours Samir Chopra

After we visited another San Carlo Dittrichova, we were very happy and we really liked that amazing place. We had no doubt that it would be worse. The pizza was to rally different. Calzone Classico had very thick dough. And the cappuccino was served with wrong temperature, very very hot. As well, the waiter was very slow and he was... More

We ate at this restaurant twice during our recent stay in Prague. We were told they did the best Pizzas in town. We were only in Prague for 4 days so clearly could not put what we had been told to the test. What we can say is that this restaurant does serve a very good pizza as well as... More

We decided to go to San Carlo Mala Strana following the recommendation of a friend. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a friendly waiter, sat at a table in this beautiful garden, and ordered our dishes. Until that point, everything was fine... But after 40 minutes the waiter advised us that one of the dishes was not available. At... More

We've been there twice now, both in summer time, and therefore have enjoyed the wonderful garden. The garden set-up is a find itself - peaceful, green, enough space between the tables and some Italian music playing in the background. The quality of the food is excellent. I have tried both Calzones on the menu and can say these are the... More

Description
Located right next to the Charles Bridge, the newly opened Ristorante San Carlo Mala Strana, named after the famed Opera theatre in Napoli, provides a cosy atmosphere with Italian friendly touch and most importantly the authentic Napolitan pizza. „Pizza is a passion and an art for Neapolitans and it has clear rules how it should be prepared“, explains the acclaimed Neapolitan pizzaiolo Antonio di Filippo. „The key are the ingredients and the right preparation. The stone oven should be over 400°C to ensure that every bite is crispy just as it should be.“

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
