This Polish chain restaurant offers nothing special, the menu is a mixture of Mexican, Arab and Italian cuisine, most meals are rather tasteless, portions are rather big. It is not bad but I woudl not take my friends there.

We were attracted to this restaurant by its fairyland like atmosphere - a faux forest with sparkling brightly colored table lamps (on closer inspection the latter turned out to be gourds decorated with colored beads - quite unique and very pretty). The menu selection was standard fare - western style food with the prerequisite Czech dishes pitched to tourists. Food... More

After searching at several restaurants, we found pork neck (which is supposedly the most tender piece of pork) at the Sphinx. This pork chop was advertised on the menu as a 'french steak'. It was excellent, both in flavour and how it was cooked. The sauce was 'different'. The herring appetizer, two large pieces, was also very good. Although the... More

I travel to Prague very regularly and generally try and have a bite to eat at this restaurant once every 3-4 months. The food is quite basic, but big in size and generally quite affordbale in balance with most of Prague. The staff have always been great and we've always received good service.

Decent Grub at a decent price but neither the best nor the worst I had on my trip.

I was looking for a good restaurant for a good price, but this was a bad choice! The food looked fantastic in the menu photos, but in reality, it was awfull. We were waiting too long(almost 1 hour) and they brought us dry grilled food, which was almost cold and without a taste. There was 5 of us at the... More

This is a very nice place, because it's a non-smoking restaurant, and that is not easy to find in Prague. There are some nice decorations in the restaurant, mainly the lamps. The staff is very friendly, but the food is not very good. My pizza was not very crispy. It's not very expensive, but please check your bill when tou... More

The best reason why you should go to this restaurant is its non-smoking environment. They will not offer you a local cusine, but you will get good meal (I recommend chicken shoarma) and good beer along with it. Unfortunately they raised prices last year without any improvements in service or quality of food.

Not keen at all. Service poor, food just bland and a bit odd quite frankly. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back!

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
