This is a cafe you should visit when in Prague. The cafe is still the same when it was first opened. The atmosphere is great, takes you back in time. The staff were very helpful and the food and drinks were good. It took us some time to find as you have to go up stairs to get to it, well... More

Grand Café Orient is one of my favorite places in Prague historic district. Service is always excellent and often we were lucky and we could enjoy the live piano music. I would appreciate if they would change it to a non-smoking place, since this is the main reason why I have not visited Café recently. If you do not mind... More

After being turned away from the restaurant we had intended to visit, Le Grill (should have booked a table!) my husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant. I can only speak as I found and it was warm, inviting, with friendly efficient staff and the food was delicious! I loved the atmosphere and having now read previous reviews, maybe we... More

Had a wonderful time: decor was stunning, menu was even better than expected, it was really quiet so we could chose the table that suited us best (most tables have got a lovely view) and half way through the meal, a delightful pianist smoothly entertained us. Everything (from the cadre, the waiter, the drinks, starters, main course and dessert) was... More

Nicely displayed items and many reasonable prices. Lots of old cooking utensils and dishes, jewelry, baskets, and farm tools. I didn't buy anything but had an enjoyable time looking through many shelves and "rooms." A fun place to spend a couple hours if you enjoy looking at old stuff. It's like a museum, except if you like something you can... More

everything is just absolutely delicious and so much attention to detail. the perfect coffee, the perfect coconut merengue cookie, the yogurt, fruit and honey perfectly sized. the waiters are old school, meticulous in their attention and genuinely enjoying their work. the cafe is in a great spot, the interior is, like most everything in Prague, is gorgeous and reminiscent of... Its a nice building and interesting cafe, but not worth visiting unless you happen to be passing by it. Service is not great either, feels more like a local spot than tourist spot.

I like to come to this place because it is centrally located and the interior is beautiful. Love all the period details: the windows, lights, fabrics etc. The staff are efficient and friendly, but will let you take your time and linger and don't ask you for new order every fifteen minutes. The restaurant food is average, it's better just... More

We had passed by this place on a walking tour of Prague and returned to check it out. We only had hot drinks and cakes so cannot comment on actual restaurant facilities. The overall ambience of the interior is very pleasant and comfortable with a distinctly Cubist atmosphere - there is a Cubist museum on the floor above. A different... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
