Sitting inside this restaurant feels like a dining room in an old style home. The menu is good and not that expensive. Everything that came to the table was fresh and well cooked.

A spur of the moment choice when hungry and wanting to try goulash in bread, and pork knee (one for each of us). We have no basis for comparison but were reasonably impressed. Pork v large - consider sharing, but may be tricky. Friendly enough service, in English

Went there on our way back from Prazsky Hrad and museums on Hradcanske náměstí. We were tired and hungry, and thirsty! While we were eating new kegs of fresh beer was brought to the restaurant as it was getting ready for the evening guests.

Really cool small restaurant in a very old building -- we stopped by for a bowl of soup and tried the goulash in bread ---- best goulash we have had yet! Really friendly prompt service as well.

Typical looking restaurant. Good food and attentive service. Great, tender and extremely tasty Goulash and Beef Stroganoff. Czk 830 for starter, 2 main courses, a large beer and 3 glasses of wine.

Good location probably is the only reason we will visit it again. The green salad cannot be called salad, it was cabbage mixed with yogurt, and nothing more. The soup was just so so; the pork was so so. And the hot chocolate is what you can buy at supermarket. The food and service was just at average level. But,... More

This little restaurant is easy to overlook, but if you do, you're missing some of the best Czech cuisine in all of Prague! You can get rabbit, duck, venison ... and some non-game standards. The bread dumplings simply defy description - succulent and incredible don't even come close. The cost of two courses, dessert AND drinks was far less than... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
