The Grand Cru Restaurant is headed by Premier Wines & Spirits Group, which is one of the largest distributors of wine, premium spirits and soft drinks in the Czech Republic. Thanks to this, it is possible to choose from 1500 wines from all around the world, premium spirits from extraneous and own production of Premier Wines & Spirits and enjoy them in the comfort of a charming place hidden from the rush of the city. In Grand Cru we cook international cuisine and Czech also. Emphasis is placed mainly on fresh and quality Czech and foreign raw materials. We have no restrictions. Together with manager and main sommelier we take care of perfect combination of the meals with the wines. We visited this place 05.08.2020 and had only the expectation given by the other rewievs, but the restaurant is so much more! We had the 3 courses (chosen by us self) and the wine paring for all courses - and everything was done to perfection, the food, the mood in the garden area, the wines were selected perfectly. The service was none other than perfect from the moment we were met by the gate, till they followed us outside after 3 amazing hours spent at the restaurant. Thank you to the waiter (who was new at the place, but VERY kind and professional)

Not all fine dining establishments in Prague are family friendly, but Grand Cru did not disappoint. My husband and I booked an early reservation at Grand Cru with our three young children. The children ordered hanger steak, which was served with vegetables. All enjoyed. My husband and I dined on lamb and a fish special, along with lobster ravioli. There was a two and three course wine tasting option. The first wine was a bit sweet for my palate but the sommelier was accommodating and offered substitutions. The desserts were divine. This restaurant is a great value for the price and allows families the opportunity to enjoy Michelin quality fare without stress. I highly recommend it.

You are welcomed by a very cozy atmosphere; even the location of the restaurant feels like it’s hidden in a corner. The food was exquisite, especially the sea bass & pasta-based main dishes. Our waiter Natalia was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu (thank you so much for making our experience feel extra special). Highly recommend this place especially for couples.

We went to Grand cru for our last night i prague. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance good. Unfortunately our food did not live up to our expectations. We first waited 30 minutes for the first glass of wine in our wine pairing menu, then the waiter asked if i wanted an extra plate for one of our courses we wanted to share witch is a minor detail but important in a Michelin guide restaurant. Our first course was a local soup, very sweet for our taste but maybe that’s the way it should be . We then had scallops with caviar, both the scallops and the caviar eggs were very small compared to the one i know. We then had pan fried foie gras with some currant sauce on top served with ginger bread and a glass of Montbazillac . For the main course we had Lamb shoulder with sweet patato and a lamb reduction. I loved the reduction but all in all to much sweet for our pallets. I must admit we expected more from this place due to the recommendations on google reviews. We had many good experiences in other michelin guide restaurants in Prague but unfortunately this was not one of them. I would have liked better advice from the waiter as our menu of choice was very sweet . Being French i have some experience in French cuisine.

We sat down at 7pm and the wait staff and front desk were real pros. I did the Grand tasting menu and wine pairings. My wife did the ala cart with wine pairings. This can be a long evening so buckle in. The dishes were well executed with beautiful presentations. A couple of my sauces of dishes were a bit to sweet for me but that is my personal taste and not a knock on the kitchen. The food was really well done. The wine pairing were super with some great Czech wines and Austrian, Italian and French. The wait staff was very kind and not stuffy at all which really helps with multiple courses and wines. My wife had 3 ala cart dishes and matching wines. I must say I would go that route next time as you can order what you want as some people don't like everything. Her pasta dish tagliollini with a poached egg yoke and black truffles stole the show with a fantastic 2018 Cote du Rhone she ordered instead of the suggested white wine. Great value for the money. Left very happy.

Wow. Every bite was outstanding. I took the seasonal venison tasting menu with the wine paring for a very affordable price of less than 2k CZK. My daughter tried the scallops and fish of all and the day. Everything was exceptional and the service was very friendly. We will definitely come back next time we are in Prague!

We had the tasting menu (1590 CZK) with the wine pairing (990 CZK). All dishes were very good. The deer was not only good, it was excellent, one of the best I ever had. The wines were good and sometimes it received not only one glass but an additonal glass without additional cost. The menu with wine parinig is a very good price value relation! Fully recommendable!

We chose to eat outside in the Courtyard which was delightful. Our Server Nicola was outstanding —she was extremely knowledgeable and service was timely, unhurried, and never lagging. Even the young trainee did a great job bringing cutlery and clearing away. The Food servers as well performed flawlessly and described each course in detail and accurately when each course was presented. I had the Wine pairings (from France, Italy, Austria, Czechhia) and the seasonal menu (5 courses) which were superb. My husband chose his three courses from the a la carte menu along with wine and he was equally happy. A remarkable evening for our last night of two weeks in Hungary/Slovakia/ Austria/Germany/Czech Republic. A truly memorable evening. Do not miss this lovely restaurant if you are in Prague. A great value as well.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by a friendly person who we took to be a hostess but who turned out to be our server. In addition to being very welcoming she was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. I went with the 4 course tasting and my wife went with a 3 course tasting both with wines. We really liked the tremendous flexibility with their tasting menus. The food and wines were all wonderful. The food was beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned and both tasting menus left us amply full. Wines paired well and were poured in a timely manner prior to the food arriving. A wonderful experience for our last night in Prague and our last night of a 14 day vacation.

This was an outstanding meal only let down by the response to a mistake with the menu. Otherwise would’ve been 5* but for a Michelin guide restaurant expected it to be picked up. So first, all the good bits. Lovely restaurant, very calm setting and really enjoyable ambiance. Incredible bread and butter and amuse Bouche. We had the chicken (twice) and the sea bass and both were fantastic. Delicate flavours and pushing Michelin star quality cooking. Really really good. On dessert the cheesecake and the dumplings were both excellent. I ordered the chocolate mousse with strawberries and mint but it arrived with apricots (which I don’t like) and maple syrup. When it arrived I pointed out it wasn’t what I’d ordered but was told the menu had now changed. With the strawberries off the menu I left the apricot and ate the mousse, in an effort to avoid fuss. Seems despite the menu outside still saying strawberries that it had changed to apricots. The chocolate mousse was great but was still charged full price despite the error. This isn’t about the mistake, it’s about the management of the situation for a restaurant pushing for Michelin star. Felt like the manager was more frustrated with the error and the castigation of staff than fixing it for me, which could have just been knocking a few euros off the bill and recognising it. The plate went back with the apricots untouched so it was clear. Do that and I’d have left happy because mistakes happen. Alternatively come back at the end and just check everything is ok. On one level this is a tiny point but it’s important with food this good if the restaurant is to reach its potential.

Dear 665Benw, thank you very much for your visit and kind review! I am glad you enjoyed your meal. I am also very sorry about our mistake with changed fruit on the menu. To be fair, I personally asked you if I should take it back and order something different, but you did not agreed. That was a signal for me you are good with apricots. If you will come another time, you got a bottle of wine on the house, I promise! Sorry again! Libor

Our family had dinner here our first night of a 2-week European trip, and we all agree that it was one of the best meals we've ever had! Everything - the food, the service, the ambiance, the location - was absolutely outstanding. We had the tasting menus, and each dish was a work of art, both in terms of taste and presentation. I have high standards and honestly cannot say enough about what an enjoyable experience we had. We also really appreciated the information provided about each wine and dish. We will remember this wonderful evening the rest of our lives!

You will have an amazing experience starting from the reception to the service and to the food and pastries, which are all immensely delicious. The menu is very clear, and the choice of alcohols and wine is wide. Also, the staff is fluent is english, and have notions of french (we are french ourselves 😁) which is really pleasant. We would enjoy coming back to this place if we happen to have another visit in Prague in the future and we thank the staff for this amazing dinner !

Overall this was a really great meal and a lovely way to spend our first evening in Prague. The service was very good, albeit perhaps lacking ever so slightly on friendliness; when I asked for tap water the waiter appeared quite shocked and insisted they only served bottled water. Strange when the tap water in Prague is actually very nice. We were not ordering this to be tight fisted (we ordered champagne and red wine too) - we simply wanted it because we enjoy the taste. But never mind. This was a minor point and the food overall was of a really great standard. The amuse bouche and bread and butter outstanding in their own right. The scallop starter exceptional. The lamb main delicious albeit disappointing on the very small size of the lamb racks. We wished for 2 or 3 times the amount of meat on the plate! The cheesecake desert very good, the plum dumplings less enjoyable. I would say overall 4.5/5; most of the food and flavours were fantastic!

The food was very good but the portions were really really small. Even a glass of wine was about the size of wine tasting size in the US. For $11 it felt like a highway robbery in a cheap place like Prague. I had to stop laughing when the waiter explained something on the plate for about 2 mins and the size of it was no more than a small drop of something. But food was tasty.

The staff is superb. While it seems that it is rushed because as soon as you finish a course a new one is brought. Yet we spent 2.5 hours enjoying the gourmet cuisine. One person chose the wine pairing and while all were good matches only one was disappointing which is good when someone picks your wine and doesn’t know your preferences. We all had the seasonal courses. The food was an excellent combination of flavors. Who would have thought a cold pepper soup which be so tasty. The deer was so tender and matched well. Not on the menu but given to us was a passion fruit cheesecake with a pineapple computer was great. This is not the place for a quick meal that was mass produced This is a place for a meal prepared by professionals who love quality and putting together novel combinations.

Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners.
