We went to this place several times and really liked it, that is why last time we invited there our friends who were visiting us. Before we usually ordered beer, Hermelin, duck and starters. This time we decided to amaze our guests with Czech speciality - pork knee. I know that many places have it pre-cooked, but this one was... More

I went to this place and I found it really tasty and good prices, is not far from the castle and the prices are lower. I tried rabbit with another typical food and it was awesome, also the beer is good and cheap, if you are in Prague, at least you have to go once

As I expected it wasn't that special. The food was fresh but just average. So nothing special. If you are shopping it will be easy choice for a short but full meal

Some dishes were over-salted. We asked to serve our starters together but they weren't - we ate separately. Waitresses seemed to be confident but didn't have manners - empty plates were swung in front of our faces. They also put two bills on the other couples' bill - "by an error".

Wow! What can I say. Loved going in here most days whether for food or just a few drinks. Food was gorgeous all the time. Nice beers were constantly flowing. The owner is a great bloke & made us feel most at home. The bar staff were absolutely amazing. I really cannot praise them enough from the 2 gorgeous girls... More

Very inexpensive and great value! We got the goulash and the chicken schnitzel for mains and the paprika sausage and the potato dumplings for starters and they were all delicious! I wouldn't recommend the hot wine here, we didn't like it very much but overall the place is good to go to.

They forgot our soups (and gave no apologies) and service wasn't friendly at all. My friend liked her food, I didn't really like mine. Don't go.

We were two times here, once for a beer, and once for a dinner. The staff and the food was professional, we got some extra drink for free, the place is so harmonic inside, so if you walk nearby, do not miss it!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
