We had 6 course menu. Highlights of the dinner were the pork belly (so delicious!) and mango salad (fresh & tasty). A bit too much food to eat, would have replaced the 6th course with a dessert. Otherwise, 5/5.

We came here one night on the recommendation of a friend. I suggest making a reservation since the restaurant is small. It has a rustic, welcoming atmosphere. The food is 6 courses with no set menu. The waiter kindly allowed for some substitutions since I don't like all types of seafood. The food was excellent - delicious and creative while... More

We find when doing weekend breaks it is always worth researching restaurants so that you know where you are going for at least one night. Sansho came recommended by 6 very different sources, and finally the taxi driver who drove us from the airport who was very excited when we told him Sansho was already booked. The food was excellent... More

I came specifically for pork belly and I was not disappointed. On that day they did not list pork belly as a main dish, but Sansho accommodated me. It came with spinach and a scoop of rice. The skin was crispy and the pork was 75% meatn and 25% fat. It was prepared superbly. If I had to criticize, the... More

The restaurant is nice, the service is great (except a Czech guy who's not as patient and kind as the other waiters) and the food...well. It was a nice food experience, with ups and downs. The downs: seafood but probably the problem is mine. I'm Italian, I come from the south and I can't stand the fish and seafood when... More

I think that given the top ratings from Trip Advisor and the recommendations we were given from people living in Prague that we went to Sansho with high expectations, and were left disappointed. The food was tasty but definitely not memorable, and it’s an expensive restaurant to visit. Attentive staff and a nice interior. We were really surprised to have... More

Excellent friendly service from the moment we entered and some of the best food I have eaten for a while. A standard 6 course taster but they will make changes to accommodate any dislikes. Given you dont know what you will be eating it is hard to choose a wine so we asked the waiter to recommend. He could have... More

Good food - though the six course dinner is expensive particularly since there is no menu offered to know how much you pay for. The waiters should inform that the dessert is not a part of the six course menu and is separately charged. Anyways, skip the desserts

This was not my first visit in Prague and I didn't want to eat "pečeno koleno" (roast pork leg) any more :) So I decided to find something new and different ... SANSHO is definitely something different from classical Czech restaurants. It has minimalistic interior design but very cute. Food is excellent and well mixed. It was full of different... More

I think this has to have been one of the best tasting meals I have ever left a review for on trip advisor. We went in the evening, and tucked into their tasting menu - I'd hate to spoil surprises but there was a good range of fish, sea food and meats. Beautifully presented, and cleverly devised, you can see... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
