FYI. This is going to be long. My friend and I came to Sansho hoping for a great experience. After reading about it and seeing all the great reviews. Unfortunately I must say it was one of my most disappointing food experiences, from the waiters to the food. All very subpar. First we were bombarded by at least 3 different... More

We had the six course dinner. Fun tastes, our favourites were the sashimi and the pork belly. Service could have been a little better, our food arrived before our drinks, our drink orders were forgotten once more and they were out of Amaretto. But all in all, a very good experience with fun flavours. We were very content when we... More

Good and tasty asian lunch. Recommend the pork belly sliders, and a "dry" pork (which is more like a pulled pork, coconut rice, fresh salad with green papaya).

So definitely get a reservation because you do not want to miss out on Sansho. If I return to Prague, I would not consider NOT returning to this great restaurant.

Great Asian fusion food, with impeccable service. Literally the best service we have had in a while. Dessert was a let down for the price - probably should have passed. the Meal was amazing though.

Went to Sansho from a recommendation of a friend and so glad we did. Basically, the idea is that the chef (the Nobu chef- Paul Day), serves family-style, Asian inspired food with local, seasonal veggies and meat. You get 6 courses that are kind of a "surprise" (7 with a dessert). The range of delicious things that were set before... More

We had 6 course menu. Highlights of the dinner were the pork belly (so delicious!) and mango salad (fresh & tasty). A bit too much food to eat, would have replaced the 6th course with a dessert. Otherwise, 5/5.

We came here one night on the recommendation of a friend. I suggest making a reservation since the restaurant is small. It has a rustic, welcoming atmosphere. The food is 6 courses with no set menu. The waiter kindly allowed for some substitutions since I don't like all types of seafood. The food was excellent - delicious and creative while... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
