The staff are kind, attentive and (a rare thing these days) take pride in knowing exactly what they are serving you. From the amuse bouche to the coffee and dessert, this restaurant did not cease to impress me throughout my stay. If it is still on the menu when you go, have the pumkpin soup it was to die for.... Was forced to eat here after being turned down by alcron for my winter boots. (If not they charge you 50€ for not showing up at alcron.) The food is ok. Nothing to shout about. Staff attentive. Set lunch around 350 czk for 2 courses. Desserts 200 czk

We booked at La Rotonde after reading positive reviews elsewhere. The food was very nice and the presentation was very pleasing, though little errors hampered the overall experience. While the chicken was well cooked, the skin was made soggy by the corn sauce. Similarly, some of the pickled pumpkin was overpowering and the pork had not had all sinew removed.... More

We had two different meat plates. There was no distinctive flavour to any of that and something to like... I wouldnt reccomend you eat there. There so many other places u can spend that amount of money and less and eat really tasty food.

Huge selection of breakfast foods. One could eat like a king. From fruits and breads, to cheeses and meats. The selection of drinks was wonderful as I love my coffee in the morning. The breakfast they serve here is the best i have experienced during my travels.

Fantastic food and very friendly service. We took the gastronomic menu 7 courses. My wife had to stop after 5 courses and i after 6. Not only fantastic food but also a lot of food :-) they only charged a 5 and 6 courses menu at the end, which was unexpected and more than correct. This restaurant is highly recomended.

Description
La Rotonde, an elegant restaurant in the Art Deco style and holder of several awards, offers an excellent selection of meals from the international and local traditional cuisine. Our talented chefs are capable of creating a culinary miracle from your dinner, which you will never forget. In the summer, it is possible to have an informal dinner on a quiet outside terrace. The Sundays have for years been dedicated to the popular jazz brunch and the Saturdays are dedicated to families with children. In the La Rotonde restaurant, everyone will get what they want. Traditional La Rotonde brunch is every Saturday and Sunday from 12.00 noon till 15:30. We are not offering ala carte lunch in this time.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
