We'd been looking for a restaurant where we wouldn't spend a fortune. We've found this one. The waiter (waiters) weren't too professional, as if they didn't take us too seriously. The menu isn't long but it's easy for everyone to choose from. However, when I compared the amount of food we've got with another meal we've had somewhere else (that... More

We had goulash with dumplings and a chicken dish, and ordered potatoes dauphonouse to go along with it. Service was reasonable in terms of speed. The food was nice. Prices were ok, but a little higher than in other places we have eaten similar food in the last few days - maybe more aimed at the tourists? It is in... More

The food was ok, but the waiter, who served it to us was awful. He throwed plates on our table and he act like he was resentful.

The waiter said absolutely nothing. My partner asked for a beer and the beer came promptly. The place was deserted so it wasn't like he was run off his feet. I asked for more time to order and was immediately met with hostility. I saw the kitchen and saw it was dirty and the chef was wiping his nose with... More

Restaurants name "Old Times" really catches the atmosphere inside. Nothing modern, only the old style - old city centre, old feelings, old pub, old beer.

A rare sojourn out without the youngsters. Found this at about the same time as we were feeling like lunch. Easy unassuming place with attentive if functional staff. Good beer, good simple Czech food from a menu with plenty of language options. Prompt service. The duck breast was absolutely superb. The roast pork good but portion a bit meagre. The... More

Called in here for a beer, but a long day of being tourist meant the munchies kicked in! Admittedly not haute cuisine, but thoroughly tasty local fayre. Served promptly with little ceremony - after all it is a Bar that serves food. Waiters perfectly efficient, more concerned with ensuring beers are topped up at all tables - no problem... Not... My partner and I ate here this evening: he had steak with chips and I had the grilled duck breast with plum sauce and potato dumplings, which with two beers and the bread and pate came to 724 Czech crowns. (If you don't want the bread basket you can send it back, I think, but we were really hungry and... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
