This restaurant was one of the best restaurants we dined at in Prague. Exceptional service and aiming high for customer satisfaction. The restaurant is around 15 minutes walking distance from Charles Bridge. The restaurant is situated on the river bank with a very nice view, I recommend it for groups and couples. The atmosphere is great, quite prestigious comparing to... More

The best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand.... huge portions and reasonably priced!! The food was so yummy and enjoyed by our party of 8. I would definitely recommend making a booking in advance as they get busy, and you can get a table on the riverside.

Pro: food, view, Thai carte / menu Cons : too spicy, service I personally think very strange to find a Thai restaurant with no Asian people, it sounds not real. The style of the restaurant is also not enough Asian.

It was my forth or fifth visit in Obcanska plovarna and it was again very good. The restaurant serves Thai food and everything I have ever ordered was great. Last time I had shrimp cakes, mix of noodles with chicken, chili and basil, friend of mine took spring rolls and rice noodles with king prawns and everything was very tasty.... More

This place was recommended by our beautiful guide, Lida. This was an excellent choice. They offered naturally flavored waters and all sorts of creative drinks. The appetizers were standard Thai choices and other more innovative selections. My husband had the fish and it was prepared very well. We enjoyed our dinner here so much that we returned a second time.... More

The entrance to the restaurant from the rear isn't great but the view once inside is fabulous. The food was great, quite spicy as it should be and the restaurant is very comfortable. We had a late lunch here - it was quiet and service was impeccable and I would say friendly. I noticed a number of large round tables... More

Nice romantic restaurant offering a large variety of dishes. Very extensive meny. Service could probably have been a bit quicker on the afternoon we visited, but reckon this was due to an oversight. Popular outside patio area during the evening

Description
The Obcanska Plovarna Restaurant can boast a fabled Thai chef, Paramese ,,Mesy" Wongwan, who is regularly with imagination diversifying the complex menu, so it gives a true picture of the traditional orient recipes based on freshness and strength of the original foodstuffs. So the guests can taste the original Thai soups, spicy curry, sote, but also scrumptiously prepared sea fruits, fish or some of the specialities of the restaurant - for example Peking duck. The Restaurant offers excellent gastronomic experience in the scope of brunches, lunch feasting, afternoon snacks, but also late dinners as the Restaurant is open until 11pm. Also the wine fans will get their slice of the action. Our wine menu has been carefully composed by our sommelier and it represents a varied offer of wines coming from famous regions of the wine world and it is a sensitive digest of cultivars and tastes. The ambience of the Restaurant itself is fascinating. The two-floor interior of the historic building, supplemented with the orient exposure which perfectly works with the culinary magic, performed by our chef, and in combination with a professional service, will make your evening unforgettable.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
