The restaurant is placed close to the city historical centre attractions. That would give great chance for a lunch or dinner site. Unfortunately the restaurant is not good for anything for that, especially if you do not want to eat in a smelly environment. They offer kind of separated room for non-smokers, but the door is opened and a way... More

I visited this place twice. First time waited 75 minutes, food was bad, they didn't have any of the specials, service uninterested. Gave them second chance after two weeks: after 90 minutes they admitted our food wasn't even cooking yet. Unless you want to ruin your evening, definitely do not visit. Yes, the interior looks nice and authentic, but your... More

Enjoyed this restaurant so much we went back the next night having intended to eat elsewhere. Good atmosphere and always buzzing. Food is lovely, but the service can be slow because of how busy it was. Out of the town centre but within walking distance of the National Theatre over Legii bridge.

Unfortunately this was not a nice visit ,the waiter seemed he couldn't be bothered to serve and when he did he slammed the beer down so we only stopped for one beer and left this seems to be a good place but must have visited on the wrong night

We popped in here virtually every evening during our stay in Prague as it was close to the hotel and was great after a long day walking the cobbles of the city. We loved it here. It is such a nice place and has a great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and attentive. After 2 visits they were asking... More

The place has quite good interior but service... Service is very slow, took at least 10 mins to pickup order for drinks. Stuff doesn't try to even be friendly and this is not a cheap place. They forgot to bring part of the order. Would not go second time.

Gone here a couple of times and think it's got to be one of the best places in Prague. Great local food, but there is something for every taste. Service is really good and the prices are amazing. I recommend the half roast duck, but only if you're feeling very hungry.

This place is perfect to have some great and authentic Czech food and beer. It is good for couple as well as for friends and for a casual business dinner. They offer a big variety of starters and main dishes like roasted duck, beef and sausages for example with cabbage. You should definitely try it. Prices are decent and the... More

I brought 12 friends to this restaurant on Saturday last weekend. Service was pretty bad even by Prague standards with waiter laughing and being obnoxious when asked about arrival time of our food after about 40 minutes of waiting. Food itself and some of the other servers ok. Pity that staff cannot be trained to be polite....

Great beer, to begin with the positives. Meals are still the same, some are better, some are not so good, but in average, satisfactory. The main problem remains the service. There are shifts, some guys are relatively okay, considering that evenings can get extremely busy here. It's not always easy to keep friendly face when you work in so crowded... More

Olympia has been alive with the hustle and bustle of society since it was opened. In the early nineteen hundreds the prohibited card game baccarat was played here in secret. It was very popular with officers in particular and also with gentlemen of high society in Prague. You will find Pilsner Urquell lager and dark Velkopopovicky Kozel, as well as Master 13° Semi-dark and Birell Light on tap. Welcome to Kolkovna Olympia!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
