This restaurant was recommended by our hotel receptionist (Hotel Agnes - best hotel in Prague btw..) What an evening. Hidden down an alleyway past the Astronomical Clock, it would be easy to miss, with the numerous old town square restaurant pushers trying to shephard you in. However, you MUST do this restaurant for the most romantic dinner experience in Prague.... More

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this restaurant when we visited Prague. The food was delicious and even though the main offering was traditional food, the offering was a nice break from the potato/bread dumplings that were usually on the menu from the majority of Czech cafes (as delicious as those are!) Excellent service, great wine menu and really interesting... More

Of the week I spent in Prague, this was easily the best quality food and service that I experienced. It was a little bit pricey for the area but this is to be expected with the quality received. The staff were very friendly.I had the sheep cheese salad to start and duck in plum sauce for main and my boyfriend... More

The 7 dishes menu was excellent, may be we ate too much before the dessert... The wine was also very good. The music player was excellent, moving continuously between the 2 floors, with no French accent at all and a very wide knowledge of all the great international songs.

We were recommended the Modre Kachnicky from our hotel on the first night of our visit as we were looking for some local food with a nice atmosphere and were in the end more than happy with the choice. The service was great they staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions with the menu and they... More

Dropped in without a reservation before 7pm and picked up one of the last tables upstairs. Lovely decor throughout. Pianist moved between upstairs and downstairs and the place had a very agreeable feel and vibe. Excellent and friendly waiter service. Degustation entree and duck and rabbit dishes were delicious. I'd eat here again and would recommend a reservation. Great place... More

Was recommended by our hotel and didnt disappoint. Really nice staff. Good hearty menu and generous sized portions. really fine dining but not overly expensive. Classy decor with subdued lighting. Piano player in background set a very romantic scene. You will need to book it a few days in advance but wont be disappointed with the food or the experience.

Pro: excellent duck, but we decided to go with 9 course tasting menu (with only 3 different type of duck dishes) - wrong choices for us as we want to taste their famous duck dishes. Cons: Meal - they changed the course without informing us; we expecting 2 cakes dessert (course no 8&9) - they replaced with berry parfait mousse... More

Very nice restaurant with piano music. We enjoyed the delicious Czech potato soup. As main course deer and fish. We trusted the staff's recommendation concerning Czech red wine. We enjoyed it and we will come back. Thanks!

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
