Stopped here because it is quite central and has a nice terrace. Had two cappuccinos and a water. The cappuccinos were good. It was quite expensive but the location was worth it.

We ate here on the last night of our stay in Prague. If we hadn't left it until the last night we'd probably have gone twice and will definitely go the next time we're there. We went for their four-course menu as it was our last night and we wanted an enjoyable meal - we weren't disappointed. We went on... More

My husbands grandma turner 80 and we needed worthy place for celebration! We chose Francouzska , and we were very satisfied! The interior of 1930s is wonderful, festive and gala ! The cuisine is refined , although portions are not huge , you'll leave this place with a feeling of fullness! For those, who want beautiful celebrations - they also make... More

Here I am, sitting in this restaurant after our dinner. We had waited for more than 30 minutes for them to serve the coffee (thought it was on the menu, no?) but okay, no coffee has been served, fine. We asked for the bill (we have paid for the dinner in advance), just need to pay for the champagne. And... More

We had a lovely evening here at this picturesque restaurant. Everyone has already described the interior which transports you back in time to the 1920s with its cosy dining booths with buttons to press for service! (Now disabled ofcourse!). Food was good overall - foie gras starter was exceptionally good my lamb main course the meat didn't taste of much... More

If you like the retro style of art nouveau, you should definitely pay a visit to this excellent restaurant. The authentic decoration is of a perfection that could only be designed by the architects of those days. But even more important, the food is excellent as well. We had a roasted foie gras of on gingerbread, followed by a fallow... More

This place is really a jewel. Probably the most beautiful historic restaurant in Prague, right in the famous Obecni dum. Beautifully decorated in art-deco style. Really amazing. The service is excellent, very professional. Staff is really helpful, always ready to help you. The food is really good, fresh and tasty. Mostly Czech original cuisine. Do not miss the famous brunches... More

The Restuarant is fantastic. Art Deco, French, lovely. Will be back. Food as expected. One dish cold but rectified. Wine heavily marked up. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited this excellent restaurant with a group of 60 associates, the dinner was organized by our host Julphar. We had a great experience of fine-dining. There was live music, a piano player who played tirelessly through our entire meal. The decor and interior of the restaurant is classic and oozes culture. The restaurant whips up culinary delights for the... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
