Food and beers are brilliant, yesterday the service upstairs was brilliant, really good (and to be fair it's normally always good) today downstairs the service was really slow and pretty poor (saved by great food) we always come and eat here, it's just a shame when service is poor - for example my wife politely asked one of the girl... We wandered in for a late light lunch. Menu was mostly simple food, nothing fancy. They separate the smoking and non smoking areas. We had a couple glasses of Czech wine which were fine at the price and a cheese plate. The cheese plate came with a stack of cold greasy cheesy stale garlic bread slices. Yucky. I would not... More

My woman told me to write that mushroom soup is perfect. But beware of ribs - although they are delicious, you may be tricked by your hunger, and order this for alone. What a mistake of mine! My next meal took place the next morning. P.S.: Also this place has free wi-fi.

I have visited this place about 3 weeks ago and I have to say it was my first and last time ever! I am from Prague but living abroad I don't know many places where to go for decent dinner anymore so me friend knowing this restaurant booked a table for 4 of us. I was there for 5 mins... More

We ate here twice during a four day break to Prague and both times it was excellent. It was also very busy. On our first visit we had the chicken skewers with mash and chips. Very filling, very nice. The second visit we had steak salad. This was really good too. The beer is available in litre glasses and the... More

Specializing in Czech beer and cuisine at reasonable prices. Their skewers were amazing, and their dumplings were the best we had in Prague. Goulash was also delicious. Portions are generous. They have a wide selection of beer, and a lovely covered patio in the back. Servers were friendly and efficient. They were busy on a Friday night, with a nice... More

Went to this restaurant for dinner, asked for spareribs which were very dry and cold. Returned it to the waiter and asked for new one. The result was even worst. Manager of the day said the chief would try to cook better spare ribs but dif not happen. The best thing was they took it normal to charge me for... More

Just a 2 minute walk from our hotel this was a great place for our first meal out in Prague. We were looking for somewhere serving proper Czech food at reasonable prices and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was very busy and noisy but that was just the buzz and liveliness of the place (so not the place if... More

We had dinner here in the recommendation of our trip guide and were not disappointed. The service was some of the best we have had while in Prague. It is not as attentive as in the states but it was really good none the less. We had apps, big meals and a wonderful desserts, 4 beers and it was less... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
